There are many parts of Elden Ring that aren’t given direct explanations. New players are likely to struggle at times, especially when they find themselves in unfamiliar locations. While the bulk of the game is open-world, Roundtable Hold is its own separate area. There is no door that heads back outside, so how do you leave? The answer, it turns out, is a little obvious.
How to Leave Roundtable Hold in Elden Ring
The only way to leave Roundtable Hold is to fast travel to another location. You won’t be able to find another way out because Roundtable doesn’t have a traditional exit. Fast travel is the only way to make it in or out.
This may be unsurprising to players more familiar with Soulslike games. However, this open-world release has more broad appeal than FromSoftware’s past games. Elden Ring isn’t nearly as hard as you might expect, but it does still have its challenges.
For new players, one challenge involves figuring out how the world works. By the time you make it to the Stormgate, the Maiden will grant you the ability to summon your own horse. The next time you speak with her, she’ll offer to take you to the Table of Lost Grace at Roundtable Hold.
That’s the problem: Having only explored the open world so far, new players may not realize how to leave Roundtable Hold. Fast travel is possible at almost any time through the in-game map, but at this early stage of the game, they may not have realized it yet.
Thankfully, the solution is simple. To leave Roundtable Hold, pull up the in-game map, then fast travel to a new location. That’s all there is to it. You’ll want to travel back to the Table of Lost Grace on occasion to check up NPCs or upgrade your weapons. Still, any time you want to leave, you’ll need to fast travel away.
