You’ll be forgiven for occasionally getting lost while playing Elden Ring. The game’s approach to plot is minimal, meaning you’ll need to pay close attention to figure out where to go next. Unfortunately, sometimes even NPCs get the details wrong. This specific situation happens after you defeat Radahn. When you speak with Blaidd after the battle is over, he says he’ll meet you in Nokron, “where the falling star bit the earth.”
The problem is, if you go to the Eternal City, Blaidd is nowhere to be found. He’s simply not where he said he would be.
As it turns out, that’s because he never made it to Nokron at all. And there’s a good reason for that, which you’ll discover once you speak with him again.
As for where to find him, you’ll have to back track to another part of the map entirely.
Where to Find Blaidd After Beating Starscourge Radahn
After beating Radahn, Blaidd can be found at the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in Limgrave.
When you arrive, you’ll find him imprisoned at the hands of War Counselor Iji. That’s why you can’t find Blaidd at Nokron — Iji trapped him in the evergaol before he ever made it there.
If you’ve been searching around Nokron, stop. He simply isn’t there.
Instead, you need to head back to south Limgrave. When you approach the Forlorn Hound Evergaol again, you’ll hear Blaidd’s distinct howling.
Interact with the evergaol to be given a choice to free him or not. For now, you should choose to let him remain. Here’s why.
After finding Blaidd trapped, you have the chance to leave in order to speak with Iji about the reasoning behind why he chose to throw Blaidd in prison.
For the record, Iji can be found northwest of Liurnia, just outside Carian Manor. It’s worth visiting the blacksmith before you make your final decision, as it’s the only chance you’ll have to learn more about the situation.
We recommend having a talk with the old War Counselor before opening up the evergaol.
Still, the decision of whether or not to free Blaidd is ultimately yours. Chances are good you want to continue the Ranni questline, so once you’ve learned why he’s been jailed, it’s best to set him free.
Otherwise, you’ll miss out on several important points down the line of that quest. Besides, it just feels like the proper thing to do, right?
After being released from the prison, and having once again tasted freedom, Blaidd will express his appreciation for your efforts.
From there, he’ll head back to Ranni’s Rise, awaiting the final part of Ranni’s questline. We won’t be giving story spoilers here, but we will say that Blaidd’s Black Wolf Mask isn’t far from Ranni’s tower.
Otherwise, feel free to run through Ranni’s quest at your own pace.
After the battle with Radahn, Blaidd never makes it back to Nokron. His capture and imprisonment at the hands of Iji means he’s stuck in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol waiting to be set free.
It’s a bit confusing, but once Radahn has been defeated, you won’t find Blaidd in Nokron. Instead, after the Starscourge has fallen, head to the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in south Limgrave.
For the record, it’s the same place he sent you to dispatch Bloodhound Knight Darriwil after snapping to get his attention.
