Not many games emphasize leveling up your relationships with other characters, but Fire Emblem Engage does. It’s many players’ favorite mechanic in the game, but consequently, it’s also one of the most important. That’s especially true if you want to get close to the character you want to marry. You strengthen your bond with other characters by fighting alongside them, sharing a meal, or giving them gifts. So, how does horse manure fit into the process? What Does Horse Manure Do in Fire Emblem Engage?
Essentially, horse manure in Fire Emblem Engage has no use other than as a gag gift to give to NPCs. Some characters will find it a bit bizarre, while others will find your practical joke quite amusing. Regardless of who you gift horse manure to, you won’t lose friendship points with the character. Still, we don’t recommend giving it to the character you want to marry. That is, unless they are one of the few that get a laugh out of it. Because everyone knows the best way to someone’s heart is by making them laugh.
If you’re curious to see how other characters react to your stinky gift (literally), you can find horse manure near the stables on Somniels’ eastern side. Having said that, it’s one of the most common items in the game and can be found almost anywhere. Allowing you to exhaust this joke gift until it’s no longer funny. However, you’ll eventually become tired of it yourself and want to start gifting items that will actually improve your friendship with characters.
For starters, pretty much any gift you give is better than horse manure. Nonetheless, in the game, you can’t go wrong with gifting all the various types of flowers, books, and food in the game. If you really want to go the extra mile, certain characters would really enjoy Sewing Kits, An Utility Knife and even some Training Weights.
