Fire Emblem Engage is the latest installment in developer Intelligent Systems’ popular tactical role-playing series. Once again, promoting your character in this entry is essential to your strategy in the game’s turn-based combat. Though it is not critically dire what you choose, you will still want to know when to promote units and the fundamentals of doing so. When to Promote Units in Fire Emblem Engage
You want to promote units in Fire Emblem Engage when they reach level 20. That’s because units max out at level 20. If you don’t promote them at this level, you’re essentially wasting the experience you earn after reaching level 20. Furthermore, you don’t want to promote units when the options become available at level 10. That’s because your character will get bonus points for their class you can keep and use later. As a result, if you promote characters at level 10 when the option becomes available, you’ll miss out on those bonus points.
In order to promote units to the next and more advanced version of the class you’re currently using, you’ll need an Advanced Seal. Additionally, you need to match all the weapon proficiency requirements for the class you want to promote them to. If you want to promote a unit to a different “Basic” class, you’ll need a Master Seal which cost 2,500 gold. Do note that your character will be set back to level one if you choose another basic class.
So, there are essentially two ways to promote units in Fire Emblem Engage. Promotion is to another basic class or to a higher and more advanced version of the class you’re using. In either case, you’ll need a Master Seal or Advanced seal to do so. Nonetheless, by doing so, you can give units more weapon types, new or improved skills, and better stats overall.
