Minecraft may very well be the most popular game in the world. In 2020 it was announced that more than 200 million copies of that game had been sold across all platforms. And earlier this year, it was revealed that the title had more than 140 million active subscribers.

So needless to say, there are a number of people out there who are eager for any Minecraft content they can their hands on. And they’ll be happy to know that the second part of the Caves and Cliffs update will be released on November 30th.

In April, developer Mojang split the update into to pieces. The studio explained that they didn’t think they could fit the game into a narrow time frame without sacrificing quality. So patients gamers will now be getting their hands on part 2.

Sofia Dankis revealed on Minecraft.net:

“Part II gives the mountains and caves that you know and love a makeover. Updated terrain generation, higher peaks, more elaborate cave systems – even the ore veins are larger! They are all so gorgeous so I might have to accept one of the makeovers that my team offers me on the daily. If they can make me look like a lush cave, who am I to say no? “

The release also noted that all players will have access to candles which can be used either as a light source or for warmth.

The missive also noted that some expected features will not be ready quite yet. These include archaeology, bundles and goat horns.
