Cyberpunk 2077 Secret Ending | How to Get

As with many series who’s game presents players with various choices throughout their runtime, Cyberpunk 2077 has multiple endings. By now most people who’ve kept playing have seen one of the four standard endings, but they may not be aware that there’s a fifth, secret ending in there as well.

How to Get the Secret Ending in Cyberpunk 2077

The secret ending to Cyberpunk 2077 relies heavily on your relationship to Johnny Silverhand and some key dialogue choices. We’ll go step by step on what to do to make sure you get this ending. Of course, there are major spoilers ahead.

First of all, one requirement is for you’ll need to reach a certain relationship level with Johnny. You’ll need it to be either 70% or above or 50% or below. Players at 60% will not be able to get this ending.

Next, during the job Chippin’ In you’ll find Johnny’s grave and headstone. From there, you’ll need to pick a specific series of dialogue choices in order to access the secret ending when the time comes. It will go as such:

  1. (Inscribe Johnny’s Initials) “Let’s do something about that.”
  2. “The Guy who saved my life.”
  3. “Nah, f—ed that up too.”
  4. “What do you want from me?”
  5. “OK. But as second chances go, this is your last.”
  6. “You were a real dick in the beginning.”
  7. “When you said you let down your friends…”
  8. “Smasher biz really got her.”
  9. “Yeah, I’ll call Rogue.”

The next big choice for the secret ending comes during the final job, Nocture OP55N1. At the final point of the mission, you’ll meet with Johnny on the roof, and will have to do specific actions.

First, you’ll choose one of the ending options that will send have Johnny go with Rogue. After this you’ll be presented with dialogue choices, which should include the option “put this to rest.” You will not pick any of the options though.

You’ll wait for a few minutes, looking between Johnny, the gun, and the pills, until he offers you a new option. The exact time hasn’t been estimated yet, but most people say around four to five minutes. For safety’s sake, go for 10 to make sure you don’t miss it.

The new option will be for you and Johnny to go on a suicide run through Arasaka by yourselves. After this, the player will fight their way through till the end.

It is recommended for the player to reach the maximum level and get kitted out before attempting the secret ending. This is because if you die once during the mission, the game will go straight to credits, forcing the player to start over from the very start of the job. If the player completes it, they will either receive the Sun or Temperance ending based on what you choose at the end.

The secret ending is the only ending mission where you do not have to worry about casualties. The rewards you receive from this mission will be the same as the Sun ending.

The secret ending to Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely a difficult one to get on you’re own, and can be frustrating for completionists. Hopefully this guide helped you find what you needed to get something more out of the game.
