Players, though, are going to get a special opportunity to check out the Electronic Arts game before it’s available. To qualifier, gamers need to have a subscription to either EA Play or Xbox Game Plan.

According to Game Spot, “Subscribers to either service will be able to play Battlefield 2042 starting on November 12, as if they had pre-ordered the Gold or Ultimate versions of the game. However, these subscribers won’t be getting a free pass to Battlefield 2042. Instead, EA is offering up a trial of the game, where users can play up to 10 hours of Battlefield 2042. After that, they’ll be locked out of the title and have to buy it like everyone else.”

The Electronic Arts website also had some more details on the game, which read:

“In 2042, extreme weather events and resource conflicts have shifted the balance of global power. The United States and Russia stand at the brink of war, while a mix of non-patriated combat veterans (No-Pats) form independent groups known as Task Forces. Fight to define the future in this never-before-seen theater of war. Find new ways to show your creativity in combat, with a full roster of cutting-edge weapons, vehicles, jets, helis, and all-new equipment inspired by the near-future of 2042. Summon the Ranger, a robotic dog built for battle, use the Syrette Pistol to revive squad members from afar, employ a grappling hook to reach new places, don a wingsuit, deploy a recon drone, and more.”
