There are plenty of mounts to earn in FFXIV, and they are often used as a status symbol or to show off your achievements in the game. That being said, plenty of mounts in the game look very cool, but you don’t have to grind for hours on end.
If you want to get your hands on ten easy mounts in FFXIV, keep reading as we tell you all the steps you need to take to get them.
10. Unicorn
If you like riding around on a mythical creature, this mount is perfect for you. It does require putting in a bit of work, though. To obtain this mount, you have to level the Conjurer Job to level 30. While this isn’t the hardest task in the world, it does mean being a healer, which is a thankless job in most MMORPGs.
There are some specific quests you will need to complete, too. These are “In Nature’s Embrace” and “Unicorn Power,” which can be picked up from Braya in the Conjurer’s Guild. Then, you’ll head to Northern Shroud to help heal the Unicorn.
9. Magitek Armor
Getting this mount is very simple. All you have to do is complete the story of A Realm Reborn and complete “The Ultimate Weapon.” Once you finish that quest, you will get your own Magitek Armor mount that can stomp along the ground or fly through the air.
8. Argos
This mount does require you to have completed Endwalker’s MSQ, but once you do, you are rewarded for your efforts by getting Argos. This is a fun little mount and a great reward for sticking through the gut-wrenching story.
7. Magitek Sky Armor
To get this mount, you will have to engage in PvP. You’ll need to reach level 30 with a class that can participate in PvP and then find the quest “A Pup No Longer” from your respective Grand Company.
Doing so will unlock the area called Wolves’ Den Pier in Limsa Lominsa. To unlock Frontline mode in PvP, you need to complete the quest “Like the Civilized Men and Women” quest so that you can participate in Frontline PvP in the daily roulettes.
To unlock Crystalline Conflict, you can complete the “The Crystal (Line’s) Call” quest from the NPC Gungi Zelungi in the Wolves’ Den Pier.
For Rival Wings, you can unlock this by speaking to Softknox and completing the quest they give you.
To get the mount, you can purchase it using 20,000 Wolf Marks. It won’t take long if you complete your Frontline daily routines.
6. Gilded Magitek Armor
This mount will take a little while to obtain, but once you get it, it can be used as a badge of honor. You must get 500 Player Commendations during group content, such as Dungeons, Raids, and Trials, to get this mount. You can get this for being a team player, having a positive attitude, doing the content correctly, dealing a lot of damage, or being a great healer.
You may receive a Player Commendation for many reasons, but you may be waiting a while to get your hands on the Gilded Magitek Armor. Once you have earned 500 Player Commendations, you’ll receive an achievement called “Everybody’s Darling,” which will give you the mount.
5. Nightmare
Nightmare is a relatively easy mount to get. You can obtain it from The Howling Eye, The Bowl of Embers, or The Navel on Extreme Difficulty. The drop rate isn’t fantastic, but if you’re high enough level to the point you’re overpowered, you can run this solo or with some friends until you get the mount.
However, if you want a real challenge, you can run it synced on Extreme difficulty and hope that you get a party for it.
4. Archon Throne
Getting the Archon Throne is pretty simple. It requires a lot of grinding to earn the currency from the Manderville Gold Saucer, but once you have enough, you can purchase the Archon Throne for 750,000 MGP.
3. Battle Panther
This mount also requires a bit of grinding, but it is relatively simple to get overall. You have to play as the Dark Knight for 300 Dungeons, Extreme Trials, 50/60 Roulette, or Levelling Roulette duties. Don’t expect to get this mount quickly, but it is still simple to obtain in the grand scheme of things.
2. Cloud Mallow
To get the adorable Cloud Mallow, you have to reach level 7 rank with the Moogles. You will then be able to purchase it for 200,000 Gil from them. These Cloud Mallows can be seen throughout the Churning Mists, and they’re positively adorable. Is it any wonder that players wanted it as a mount?
1. Midgardsormr
If you want to get your hands on a very cool dragon as a mount, all you have to do is keep going through the story of FFXIV. This mount will be given to you first as a Minion, but then you will receive it as a Mount, also. Midgardsormr is given to you as a mount by the end of the story of Heavensward.
