Elden Ring Crumbling Farum Azula | How to Reach

Elden Ring Crumbling Farum Azula Guide

There are some areas in Elden Ring that seem nearly impossible to get to. However, there are special interactions that can be found throughout the Lands Between to help you get from Point A to Point B. One such scene includes you and an NPC meeting at a Site of Grace that will send you to a distant land. This land is simply called the Crumbling Farum Azula, a ruin that continues to float with tornadoes sprawling around it. Here’s how to get to Crumbling Farum Azula.

How to Reach Crumbling Farum Azula in Elden Ring

While there are technically two ways to get to Crumbling Farum Azula, one is more limiting than the other. To gain ultimate access to the area, you’ll need to speak Melina at the Forge of the Giants Site of Grace. She’ll speak about the acceptance of a “cardinal sin” with you. Reply with “I’m ready,” and your character will immediately fall asleep at the site. An important cutscene ensues, so we’ll avoid any spoilers here. But once the cutscene concludes, you’ll finally arrive at the location in question.

However, if you and Melina aren’t communicating, you can alternatively speak with the Three Fingers at the same grace site. Rest at the point to select the “Listen to the sounds of flame” option. A different cutscene will play, with your character approaching the scourging forge. Now totally engulfed in flames, your character steps into the fire. As expected, you wake up at the edge of the Crumbling Farum Azula.

Four Belfries Waygate

Now, that was one way of approaching the faraway land that deal with more of the narrative. The second option is by taking a road trip to the Four Belfries west of Liurnia of the Lakes. This is the location of the four towering bell towers that can offer waygates throughout the Lands Between. All four towers offer waygates to Crumbling Farum Azula, Chapel of Anticipation in Stormveil Castle, and Nokron, Eternal City. The fourth tower, which is located at the top of the hill, actually contains an Imbued Sword Key, which is needed to unlock any one of the towers.

From there, use the key on the first tower near the foot of the hill to unlock the waygate to Crumbling Farum Azula. Keep in mind that this way of transportation puts you in a smaller area within the faraway region; you won’t be able to access everything if you choose this route.
