Elden Ring Preserving Boluses | Where to Find

Where to Find Preserving Boluses in Elden Ring

Elden Ring can be a painful game to wallow through at times. Sure, the environments are gorgeous and the world is massive. But the world also hates you, and will constantly throw different statuses at you. Because of this, you’re going to want to stock up on Boluses! These items can cure you of specific maladies so you can continue your quest. Once you reach Caelid, a common malady is Scarlet Rot. So, you’re going to want Preserving Boluses for the mid-to-late game of Elden Ring. They’re really, really hard to find! Thankfully, you won’t have to search forever.

Where to Find Preserving Boluses in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Preserving Boluses

You can only get a couple of Preserving Boluses in Elden Ring. There are five in the Shack of the Rotting in north Caelid, one in Leyndell Royal Capital, one in Siofra River Well, and three purchasable from the Nomadic Merchant in Caelid Highway North. That means you can only get 10 without crafting them. Thankfully, you can craft them yourself using the Armorer’s Cookbook [6], which is found in Siofra River.

The Boluses in the world largely come from North Caelid. The Shack of the Rotting gives five for free, and the Nomadic Merchant sells three for 2,500 Runes each. This is not consistent for how often you may run into this horrible status. So, you’re going to want to craft them.

How to Craft Preserving Boluses

Preserving Boluses require the Armorer’s Cookbook [6]. This is located in Siofra River. Head down the Siofra River Well in Mistwood. From there, head east to get access to the Armorer’s Cookbook [6], which rests on a corpse. The book is on the cliffs near the Siofra River Bank; if you’ve gotten to that Site of Grace, check the nearby rocks to see if there is anything to climb up.

Preserving Boluses are crafted with Dewkissed Herba x2, Crystal Cave Moss x1, and a Sacramental Bud x1. These are located in Siofra, Crystal Caves, and Mt. Gelmir respectively. Since these are crafting materials, you can farm them consistently, giving you an infinite supply of Preserving Boluses.

You can actually cause Scarlet Rot yourself with the Rotten Breath incantation. And learn how to dodge Madness with our guide!
