Few games have as long and as rich of a history as Elder Scrolls. The title, which was first introduced by Bethesda Softworks all the way back in 1994, is still going strong. And gamers eagerly still await new drops.
Those players who have been waiting for something new saw their patience pay off on Thursday afternoon. Bethesda Game Studios has announced a significant expansion to the the game. Two new chapters will be added; Legacy of the Bretons and High Isle.
In a synopsis of Legacy of the Bretons, the studio writes, “Discover the beautiful Systres Archipelago in the Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure, a brand-new storyline told throughout all ESO’s 2022 content releases, including the upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online: Ascending Tide DLC and The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle Chapter.”
And in a description of High Isle, Bethesda notes, “In the upcoming High Isle Chapter, you have the opportunity to discover a part of Nirn never-before-seen in the Elder Scrolls series: the ancient island home of the Breton elite. Within the Systres Archipelago, explore a bountiful tropical atoll ringed by stunning white cliffs and host to both majestic castles and dense jungles.”
There are also some new modes of gameplay. The announcement continues,” The High Isle Chapter also introduces a gameplay system, Tales of Tribute. A tavern card game that allows you to compete against your fellow players and NPCs, this fast-paced, deck-building game provides a new way for Tamriel’s adventurers to relax and play.
The chapters will be updated throughout the year withDLC’ss expected in both Quarter 3 and Quarter 4. The new packages are now available for pre-purchase.
