As with most every game, Genshin Impact comes preset with a handful of basic controls. However, as you work you spend more time with the game, you may find yourself wanting to remap the control layout. So, can you change controls? If so, how?
How to Change Controls in Genshin Impact
Unfortunately, in Genshin Impact there is no way to change controls on any platform. Players are only able to access the game’s controls and look at the default mapping for the game with no way of changing the original setup at the time of writing.
To get to Genshin Impact’s controls page, you must first load up the game. When loaded, access the menu so you have the choice to see your inventory, quests etc. Near the bottom left of the menu (next to the left of Co-Op mode and under Time) should be the settings menu, click on that.
Once you have clicked on settings you will be able to see all of the controls, as well as the corresponding button for that command. But as you can see, you cannot change controls — so you are stuck with these default controls. If you’re unable to see these controls you might be on the wrong section. The controls can be found at the top of the list of these settings menu in the top left corner of the screen, it shouldn’t be too hard to find.
At the time of writing, developers have no mentioned any public plans to add custom keybinds to the game. However, the game is still new so hopefully the developers of the game will eventually allow players to change their keybinds/controls in a future update. So it looks like you’re going to have to get used to the Genshin Impact controls layout for now.
