Genshin Impact Weapons Ranked: The Master List

Serpent Spine

Genshin Impact weapons span a vast arsenal which is split into 5 different categories. To create a proper ranking, and to make it easier on the eyes, we’ll be ranking them in tiers based on their categories. We’ll take into account the weapon’s rating, recommended users, and where to get them. Be prepared for a long list!

Even with all these weapons, your characters will only be able to wield one weapon at a time. So make sure to choose the best of the best according to their effects and what pairs well with your characters. Without further delays, let’s get into this massive Genshin Impact weapon tier list!

A quick note: We have ranked the weapons based on their weapon type and tiers so don’t freak out when you see Summit Shaper at number one on our list as we just happened to rank swords first.

Sword

S-tier

Summit shaper

Summit Shaper

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Bennett, Qiqi, Geo Traveler

Where To Get It: Wish

Currently the best sword in the game with one of the highest base attacks. The Summit Shaper increases shield strength and is stackable, so it is a weapon suitable for characters working on defense and support.

The weapon grants a buff that allows you to have an increased attack when it hits your opponents which reaches up to 100% when a shield is active. Even its passive effect grants an increase in your base attack.

Mistsplitter reforged

Mistsplitter Reforged

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Xingqiu, Keqing, Kamisato Ayaka, Kaedehara Kazuha, Geo Traveler, Anemo Traveler

Where To Get It: Wish

Mistsplitter Reforged is for those who wish to deal a ton of elemental damage to their opponents. It’s an Inazuman electro sword, so its design is reminiscent of Inazuma’s architecture and Shogun.

The sword deals stackable elemental damage and bonus elemental damage, so it’s good for DPS sword wielders that depend on their elemental abilities. As for its passive effect, it grants increased critical damage when put to use.

Skyward blade

Skyward Blade

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Bennett, Xingqiu, Keqing

Where To Get It: Wish

The Skyward Blade is a sought-after Genshin Impact weapon that adds an extra boost to your character when you use your elemental burst with ‘Skypiercing Might’. Your CRIT rate, movement, and ATK speed increase, and your normal and charged attack deal more damage. It’s an all-rounder suitable for characters that could deal high damage. Plus, you’ll get energy recharge as a passive effect.

Primordial Jade cutter

Primordial jade Cutter

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Kaeya, Bennett, Xingqiu, Qiqi, Albedo, Kamisato Ayaka, Kaedehara Kazuha

Where To Get It: Wish

Almost all the sword-wielding characters are suitable to use the Primordial Jade Cutter, so you don’t have to worry about finding a suitable character. Getting the sword itself is a challenge though, as it is a rare weapon with a low probability of appearing when it comes to wishing on banners.

The Primordial Jade Cutter allows for an increase in HP up to 40% with an attack bonus based on its wielder’s HP, and its passive allows for an increase in critical rate.

Aquila favonia

Aquila Favonia

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Bennett, Keqing, Qiqi, Geo Traveler, Anemo Traveler

Where To Get It: Wish

Aquila Favonia allows for an increase in attack, and if your character takes damage, it will trigger ‘Falcon’s Defiance’. This will regenerate HP equal to the attack and deal increased damage to your enemies. This sword’s passive effect grants a physical damage bonus as well.

Based on lore, this Genshin Impact weapon is the legendary sword for the Knights of Favonius which has been around for centuries – which explains its Monstadt design influences.

Freedom sworn

Freedom Sworn

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Kaeya, Albedo, Kaedehara Kazuha, Geo Traveler, Anemo Traveler

Where To Get It: Wish

As an embodiment of Monstadt’s free spirit, Freedom Sworn is set to get you out of any tight situation you’ll find yourself in. This sword grants a Sigil of Rebellion when elemental reactions are triggered, and with 2 sigils, you’ll be able to obtain ‘Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance’.

This will increase your overall attack damage and attack as you fight through clusters of enemies. An added bonus would be its passive effect which allows for better elemental mastery.

A-tier

The black sword

The Black Sword

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Keqing

Where To Get It: Battle Pass Bounty

The Black Sword adds more damage to normal and charged attacks and regenerates HP through attacks that land a critical hit. The passive effect for this sword focuses on increasing the critical rate of its user. The sword itself has a dark rumored story behind it, that talks about its user getting drunk off of blood from slaughtering enemies (which explains the red-colored design). A great Genshin Impact battle pass weapon inclusion.

The flute

The Flute

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Qiqi, Keqing

Where To Get It: Wish

A little on the rare and unique side when it comes to weapons, The Flute allows its wielder to harness the power of music through Harmonics. Harmonics could help deal up to 200% increased attack damage to enemies which lasts up to 30s.

Best paired with characters who have fast attacks and could pull off some major AoE attacks. A great sword if you don’t have a 5-star sword around. Its passive helps increase the attacks of your character as well.

The alley flash

The Alley Flash

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Kaeya, Bennett, Xingqiu, Keqing, Kaedehara Kazuha

Where To Get It: Wish

The Alley Flash is probably one of the rarer Genshin Impact weapons to get on this list, although its abilities are pretty subpar. The sword increases the damage dealt by its wielder, but this can also be disrupted when your character takes damage.

This is why characters that have fast attacks and are not easily disrupted are great matches for this sword. The sword’s passive effect focuses on increasing elemental mastery, so it’s not all about damage.

Royal longsword

Royal Longsword

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Keqing

Where To Get It: Starglitter Exchange

As a weapon you can exchange for in Paimon’s Bargains, the Royal Longsword is on the better side of the 4-star spectrum. This sword allows you to increase your CRIT rate when you start damaging your enemy. Its effects are also stackable, but once you’ve gotten a CRIT hit, it resets. As for its passive effects, this longsword helps in increasing your attacks.

Prototype rancour

Prototype Rancour

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Bennett, Keqing

Where To Get It: Crafting/Adventure Rank reward

Genshin Impact’s crafting system doesn’t really get talked about often, mainly because there’s not much to talk about. However, the Prototype Rancour is one of the few weapons you can get in the game through crafting. You just need some Crystal Chunks, White Iron Chunks, and the Northlander Sword Billet to forge it.

If you’re too busy to forge, you’ll get it when your Adventure Rank levels up higher, so it’s up to you. The sword allows you to have an increased base attack and defense on hit and is stackable.

B-tier

Iron sting

The Black Sword

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Kaeya, Xingqiu, Anemo Traveler, Keqing

Where To Get It: Crafting

Similar to the Prototype Rancour, the Iron Sting can be forged with Crystal Chunks, White Iron Chunks, and the Northlander Sword Billet. It’s one of those special cases where a weapon can be crafted rather than wished for or found.

The Iron Sting will allow you to deal increased damage whenever you deal any elemental damage. Its passive focuses on increasing elemental mastery as well. Using a character with strong elemental abilities would be a bonus with this Genshin Impact weapon.

Sword of descension

Sword of Descension

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Traveler Geo, Traveler Anemo

Where To Get It: Wish

When your character hits an enemy with their normal or charged attack, there is a 50% chance to deal 200% attack damage in a small AoE. This is useful for those who need a little added damage and power to their attacks, as even its passive effect helps increase attacks.

This sword is best equipped by the Traveler, as they get extra perks – the Traveler’s attack will instantly increase by 66 when this sword is equipped.

Lion’s roar

Lion's Roar

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Keqing

Where To Get It: Wish

Best used for Pyro or Electro characters as it increases damage affected by those elemental abilities. Keqing is the only sword wielder available so far that matches these criteria, so if you’re looking for a sword for her, Lion’s Roar could do the trick. The sword’s passive also allows for an increase in attack for its wielder.

Sacrificial sword

Sacrificial Sword

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xingqiu, Qiqi, Bennett, Kazuha, Geo Traveler, Anemo Traveler

Where To Get It: Wish

An ominous petrified sacrificial sword. After you damage an enemy with an elemental skill, the skill itself has a chance to end its own cooldown period, so it can be put to use faster. At max level, this sword can grant great energy recharge to its wielder as well.

Its passive effect bumps up the energy recharge effect, so you’ll get double the energy. This Genshin Impact weapon is great for users that rely heavily on their elemental abilities during battle.

Festering desire

Festering Desire

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Kaeya, Xingqiu, Albedo, Anemo Traveler, Geo Traveler

Where To Get It: Event

Festering Desire was given out as part of Albedo’s event: The Chalk Prince and the Dragon back in update 1.2, so there’s no way to get it now unless they bring it back somehow. As such, it’s a weapon that works well with Albedo if you happen to have him in your arsenal.

The weapon’s effects focus on increasing your character’s elemental skill damage and elemental skill critical rate. Plus, its energy recharge passive helps with regenerating any energy lost during battles. Great for users that rely on their elemental abilities, and/or have strong elemental skills.

Favonius sword

Favonius Sword

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Kaeya, Bennett, Qiqi, Kazuha, Geo Traveler, Anemo Traveler

Where To Get It: Wish

If you’re looking at this right now, the Favonius Sword is up for grabs on the weapons wish banner until February 15th! For the Favonius Sword, your CRIT hits have a chance of creating an elemental orb that will regenerate 6 energy for your character to use up.

This sword is for characters that need an endless source of energy as they go through battles, even its passive focuses on energy recharge. It’s an obvious battery weapon.

Cinnabar spindle

Cinnabar Spindle

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Albedo

Where To Get: Event

The best character for the Cinnabar Spindle is Albedo due to its passive skill effects that scale his elemental skill with DEF. This sword increases elemental skill damage based on your character’s DEF and resets after the damage is dealt.

As it is one of the more tailor-made weapons, it was only available during Albedo’s run and ongoing event. Seeing as character reruns are a thing, we’re just hoping to see it again in the future.

Blackcliff longsword

Blackcliff Longsword

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xingqiu, Keqing

Where To Get It: Starglitter Exchange

You can get this sword from Paimon’s Bargain shop whenever it is available! This sword grants you increased attack once you defeat an enemy, and is stackable up to 3 times. Your attack will just keep increasing and reset after the third time, which makes for an easy win when it comes to battles. Its passive focus is on increasing critical damage, so what’s not to love about this Genshin Impact weapon?

Amenoma kageuchi

Amenoma Kageuchi

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Kaeya, Ayaka, Kazuha, Jean, Bennett, Keqing, All Traveler Types

Where To Get It: Crafting

This weapon has a unique effect and is designed as a sort of battery for the characters that need a lot of energy. After casting an elemental skill during battle, you will gain 1 Succession Seed, and three may exist at the same time. Using your elemental burst will consume all the seeds, each granting 6 energy to the wielder.

To forge this weapon, you’ll need a Northlander Sword Billet, Amethyst Lump, and White Iron Chunks.

C-tier

Skyrider sword

Skyrider Sword

Rating: 3 Star

Recommended Users: Jean, Qiqi, Keqing, Geo Traveler

Where To Get It: Wish

A sword formerly yielded by a famous Skyrider of Monstadt. This sword allows its user to have a slight increase in movement speed and attack when they use their elemental burst. Its bonus passive effects allow for some minor energy recharge as well.

Harbinger of Dawn

Harbinger of Dawn

Rating: 3 Star

Recommended Users: Kaeya, Xingqiu, Albedo

Where To Get It: Wish

Perhaps the feel-good buff from this sword is what gives it the added charm, aside from its classic design. The sword allows for an increase in critical rate, but only if your character’s HP is above 90%.

Its passive allows for an increase in critical damage. A taxing task to keep an eye on your health while in battle, so it deserves to be set low on our list of Genshin Impact weapons.

Traveler’s handy sword

Traveler's Handy Sword

Rating: 3 Star

Recommended Users: Albedo

Where To Get It: Chest

One of the more prestigious swords you can get from chests on your adventures, the Traveler’s Handy Sword allows its wielders to restore their HP each time they collect an elemental orb or particle. Not that handy in hindsight, but you get what you can for free!

Fillet blade

Fillet Blade

Rating: 3 Star

Recommended Users: Xingqiu, Kaeya, Geo Traveler, Anemo Traveler

Where To Get It: Wish

With the Fillet Blade, its bonus effect adds to your attack, and its other effects include a 50% chance to deal increased attack damage to a single enemy on hit. It’s pretty standard Genshin Impact weapon and can deal substantial damage with the right character.

Recommended Users: Keqing

Where To Get It: Vendor

Upon causing any of these elemental reactions: Overloaded, Superconduct, Electro-Charged, Electro-infused Swirl; base attack of the character will increase. Best incorporated with characters that will induce these elemental reactions for more effect, for now, it would be Keqing, as it is more electro focused.

Cool steel

Cool Steel

Rating: 3 Star

Recommended Users: Kaeya, Xingqiu

Where To Get It: Wish

You’re guaranteed to get this sword as part of a throwaway wish, or if you’re having a bad luck streak. Cool Steel is best wielded by characters with Hydro or Cryo elemental abilities. Mainly because it increases damage against enemies affected by those elements, so Kaeya and Xingqiu would do well to wield it.

Silver sword

Silver Sword

Rating: 2 Star

Recommended Users: –

Where To Get It: Chest

A step up from the 1 Star Dull Blade, but it’s basically the same. The Silver Sword just has a slightly higher damage output when it is wielded. Can be found everywhere in chests, and has no special effects or passives.

Dull blade

Where To Get it: Chest

The most basic Genshin Impact weapon and probably the first you’ll come across. Basically the tutorial weapon for sword-wielding characters. This sword can easily be found in chests and everywhere else, but it doesn’t have any special effects.

Polearm

S-tier

Staff of homa

Staff of Homa

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Xiao, Zhongli, Hu Tao, Rosaria, Thoma, Raiden Shogun

Where To Get It: Wish

The best polearm in the entire game, the Staff of Homa increases the HP of its wielder and provides an attack bonus based on its wielder’s HP. When your HP is less than half, the attack bonus will increase by an additional amount of max HP. This polearm’s passive allows for an increase in critical damage as well.

A great weapon for characters like Hu Tao that has to cut their life in half in order to deal significant damage with their abilities. It is believed that this weapon was tailor-made for her character, but other characters could try putting it to use.

Primordial Jade winged-spear

Primordial Jade Winged Spear

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Xiao, Xiangling, Zhongli, Hu Tao, Rosaria

Where To Get It: Wish

This Genshin Impact weapon is most commonly associated with Xiao, as it is the best weapon for his character that acts largely as a DPS/sub-DPS. It even matches his green character design, so it wouldn’t be far fetched to think that its his canon weapon.

On hit, this polearm increases the attack of its wielder, stackable up to 7 times. The max stack will deal increased damage. Even the passive of this polearm helps in increasing the critical rate of your attacks.

Engulfing lightning

Recommended Users: Xiangling, Rosaria, Thoma, Raiden Shogun, Shenhe

Where To Get It: Wish

As with most Inazuman weapons, this polearm has an energy recharge passive. It’s also referred to as ‘The Grasscutter’ by some, as it is a Naginata used to cut grass in Japan. This polearm allows for an increase in attack based on energy recharge. You can gain a max amount of 120% attack and 50% energy recharge when you use an elemental burst.

Pair this up with Raiden for the best battery combo your team has ever seen, it matches her aesthetic and abilities anyway.

Vortex vanquisher

Your normal and charged attacks will have a 50% chance to trigger a vacuum blade dealing attack damage in a small AoE. It’s passive grants energy recharge, so this polearm is a good safe bet if you’re looking for a 5-star Genshin Impact weapon!

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xiangling, Zhongli, Hu Tao, Rosaria, Thoma, Raiden Shogun, Shenhe

Where To Get It: Vendor

A unique weapon in general, The Catch is a trident-like polearm that you can buy from the Inazuma Fishing Association for 20 Rusty Koi, 20 Golden Koi and 6 Raimei Angelfish. This polearm increases elemental burst damage and its wielder’s elemental burst critical rate.

Overall, a fun weapon to have around and a powerful one if you’re up for the challenge of fishing for the amount of fish needed for an exchange. Most players walk away at the idea of fishing, so good luck!

A-tier

Favonius Lance

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xiao, Xiangling, Zhongli, Rosaria, Thoma, Raiden Shogun

Where To Get It: Wish

As part of the Favonius series of weapons, this polearm is great for energy recharge. When you land a critical hit, there’s a chance for you to generate one elemental orb which will, in turn, generate 6 energy for your character. This polearm is equipped with an energy recharge passive as well, so it is useful for characters who rely on their elemental abilities and skills in battle. Overall, it’s a solid Genshin Impact weapon.

Wavebreaker’s fin

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xiangling, Zhongli, Hu Tao, Rosaria, Thoma, Raiden Shogun

Where To Get It: Wish

Wavebreaker’s Fin is a rather unique polearm. The Watatsumi Wavewalker effect will calculate the total energy cost of your party’s elemental burst – the higher the total energy cost, the stronger the wielder’s elemental burst damage.

The Wavebreaker’s Fin is a great weapon for team compositions with mainly DPS characters that rely on their elemental abilities. Hard-hitting DPS characters like Hu Tao and Rosaria would do well with it.

Blackcliff pole

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xiao

Where To Get It: Starglitter Exchange

You can get this weapon through the Paimon’s Bargains shop, so all you need to do is save up enough Starglitter. The Blackcliff Pole increases your character’s attack after defeating an enemy, so you’ll progressively get stronger through battle.

It has increased critical damage as a passive as well, great for team battles and dungeon runs. Xiao’s powerful attack could put this polearm to good use if you’ve got nothing else to give him.

Dragonspine spear

Where To Get It: Crafting

As you go through the game, you’ll come across the Festering Fang quest, where you’ll get to collect the materials needed to forge the Dragonspine Spear. The materials needed are Northlander Polearm Billet, Starsilver and Vitalized Dragontooth.

For those who would love an extra perk in their Genshin Impact Battle Pass Weapons, the Deathmatch is up for grabs. If there are two opponents and above nearby, the wielder’s attack and defence will increase. If there is only one enemy nearby, then only the attack will increase.

Its passive effect influences your critical rate as well. A pretty interesting polearm, and unique in its own way.

Dragon’s bane

Dragon's Bane

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xiangling, Hu Tao

Where To Get It: Wish

Best polearm for Hydro or Pyro characters only, as its effects apply to characters with those elemental abilities. Dragon’s Bane increases damage towards enemies affected by Hydro or Pyro, so equipping it with characters who can inflict those elemental reactions on enemies is a plus. It even grants its user increased elemental mastery as a passive.

Royal spear

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xiao, Xiangling, Hu Tao

Where To Get It: Starglitter Exchange

As you damage an opponent with this polearm, your critical rate will increase and is stackable up to 5 times. One critical hit on your enemies will reset the effect, so you can have multiple critical hits with high damage.

This is a great Genshin Impact weapon for hard-hitting characters, as even its passive focuses on increasing your attack.

Lithic spear

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Xiao, Xiangling, Zhongli

Where To Get It: Wish

This weapon is only great for characters that are from Liyue, so that explains the low ranking for us. Plus, it doesn’t really bring much to the table in terms of effects and passives either.

The character will gain an increase in attack and their critical rate which can be stacked up to 4 times. Its passive increases its wielder’s attack slightly and that’s it.

D-tier

White tassel

Black tassel

Rating: 3 Star

Recommended Users:

Where To Get It: Wish

The Black Tassel is a lower-end Genshin Impact weapon that you’ll be annoyed to get when you’re wishing on a banner hoping for a 5 star to pop out. It’s one of those weapons or items that pop up when you least want it to. The only thing it does is increase damage against slimes. It has a passive that helps with increasing your HP, but that doesn’t do much either.

Iron point

Where To Get It: Chest

The easiest and most common polearm for you to get for free in the game as it is a tutorial beginner weapon that does not have any special effects or passives attached to it. This weapon can be used for any character, but you will definitely change it out the moment you find something better.

Bow

S-tier

Thundering pulse

Thundering Pulse

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Fischl, Tartaglia Childe, Yoimiya, Kujou Sara, Aloy

Where To Get It: Wish

The most powerful bow currently in the Genshin Impact meta, Thundering Pulse offers an increase in attack and grants Thunder Emblems. These Thunder Emblems increase normal attack damage and can be stacked up to 3 times.

You can get the emblems by dealing damage with your normal attack, casting elemental skills, and when your energy is less than 100%. Inazuman made, which is obvious by its electrifying design.

Skyward harp

Skyward Harp

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Amber, Venti, Fischl, Tartaglia Childe, Ganyu, Kujou Sara, Aloy

Where To Get It: Wish

The Skyward Harp is a great bow that most players have now associated with Venti, mainly because of its lore. This bow symbolizes the connection between Dvalin and the Anemo Archon which is (spoilers alert) Venti. This bow increases critical rate damage and allows for a small AoE damage to take place which deals some physical attack damage.

The bow’s passive is to increase critical rate as well, so your critical rate damage will be quite high with this bow as your Genshin Impact weapon of choice.

Amos’ bow

Amos' Bow

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Amber, Tartaglia Childe, Ganyu, Yoimiya

Where To Get It: Wish

This bow increases your normal attack and aimed shot damage. Your damage increases for every arrow you shoot and is stackable up to 5 times. Its passive boosts the attack of your character, so if you’re good at aiming, this is the bow for you.

Most players tend to avoid bows and bow characters for this reason, but if you enjoy it, you could essentially be unstoppable.

Elegy for the end

Elegy For The End

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Venti, Fischl, Ganyu, Yoimiya, Kujou Sara, Gorou

Where To Get It: Wish

Trying to figure out the effects of this bow can be quite daunting as you’re greeted with a long explanation, but we’ll simplify it for you. The Elegy For The End bow grants an increase in elemental mastery, so you will be granted a Sigil of Remembrance when your elemental skills/bursts hit enemies.

When you’ve collected 4 Sigil of Remembrance, the ‘Millennial Movement: Farewell Song’ is triggered. This increases elemental mastery and attacks of any nearby party members. This bow also offers an energy recharge passive for its user.

Rust

Rust

Rating: 4 Star

Recommended Users: Fischl, Tartaglia Childe, Yoimiya

Where To Get It: Wish

One of the 4-star weapons that are powerful and worthy enough to jump to the S-Tier, surpassing 5 stars. This weapon is most commonly associated with Tartaglia Childe, due to its effects and design that matches his character entirely.

Rust allows for an increase in normal attack damage and rapid-fire but a decrease in aimed shot damage. It’s a great Genshin Impact weapon for those who don’t enjoy aimed shots and prefer to just shoot continuously at enemies. Its passive allows for an attack boost as well, so it is great for high damage bow characters.

Polar Star

Polar Star

Rating: 5 Star

Recommended Users: Amber, Venti, Fischl, Tartaglia Childe, Kujou Sara, Aloy, Ganyu, Yoimiya

Where To Get It: Wish

A powerful bow for those looking for a weapon that can cause substantial damage. The Polar Star allows for increased elemental skill and elemental burst damage. Once your opponent is hit with a normal attack, charged attack, elemental skill or elemental burst, an Ashen Nightstar is created. This Ashen Nightstar increases your attacks and can be stacked up to 4 times.

The Polar Star is also one of the newer bows introduced in Genshin Impact, and it seems like a great match for Tartaglia Childe’s elemental abilities for now. So if you don’t have Rust around, Polar Star will do the trick.

This fish increases your elemental burst damage and once your burst hits your opponents, a gigantic tuna is summoned that deals attack and AoE damage. I’d get it just to see the tuna falling from the sky the next time it comes around.

Another catalyst you could choose to spend your Starglitter on would be this Royal Grimoire. As you damage your enemies, your critical rate will increase and this effect is stackable up to 5 times.

The passive for this catalyst helps with increasing attacks as well. Again, it’s better paired off with characters that deal high burst damage.

Where To Get It: Chest

Probably the best catalyst you’ll get from chests, the Twin Nephrite catalyst allows you to have an increased movement speed and attack each time you defeat an enemy. Besides, its passive effect increases the critical rate for your character as well. If you’re looking for a free weapon to equip your catalyst user, this would be a great choice.

Where To Get: Wish

The Eye of Perception is an interesting and unique catalyst overall. When wielding this catalyst, there’s a 50% chance of firing a Bolt of Perception which deals up to 240% attack damage. This bolt bounces between enemies a maximum of 4 times, and its passive grants a slight increase in attack.

Where To Get It: Wish

In terms of effects for this catalyst – each time you switch characters, the new character will have their attack increased. For its passive, this catalyst helps with increasing your HP slightly. Truly though, it is one of those banner weapon duds, where you’ll get frustrated for getting multiple times while wishing.

Probably best to put it to use with Barbara, as you’ll only need her for healing so you’ll switch her out more often than not.

Where To Get It: Wish

As with the Favonius weapon series, the Favonius Codex allows for the generation of an elemental orb that grants 6 energy. This depends on the critical hit of your character. It also provides an energy recharge passive effect to your character. Everyone needs a little energy recharge once in a while, but compared to the effects of the other catalysts, this deserves to be ranked low.

Where To Get It: Wish

This catalyst depends on how many of your party members are from Monstadt. Depending on that, it will increase its wielder’s attack damage up to 16% and movement speed up to 5%. It also has energy recharge abilities as its passive effect. If you don’t have many Monstadt characters, you should just sit this one out.

Where To Get It: Wish

For this catalyst, picking up any elemental orb or particle will recover up to 2% of HP. It’s not much, but it is better than nothing. This Otherworldly Story catalyst has an energy recharge passive effect as well which might help slightly.

Where To Get It: Wish

This catalyst is only best for Hydro or Electro characters as they can trigger elemental reactions and inflict enemies with increased Hydro or Electro elemental damage. Luckily, there are a lot of Hydro characters that wield catalysts, aside from Lisa that uses Electro.

This Magic Guide has a passive that increases elemental mastery as well.

When elemental reactions like Vaporize, Electro-Charged, Frozen, or Hydro-Swirl happen, your character’s base attack will increase. The passive effect for this Elemental Orb catalyst also happens to be an increase in elemental mastery for your character.

Where To Get It: Chest

Slightly better than the Apprentice’s Notes catalyst purely based on its base attacks. The Pocket Grimoire is a Genshin Impact weapon that has no effects or passives, and can be found commonly everywhere in chests, should you need it.

Where To Get It: Chest

The most common, beginner weapon you’ll get for catalyst characters. You can find these everywhere in chests as you go along and they do not have anything special to them. This weapon has no effects or passives to bring to your character.

To Conclude

You’ve made it to the end! Hopefully, this master list of Genshin Impact weapons tier lists proves to be useful for you in deciding which weapon to use for your characters. Now, you might want to rest your eyes for a minute before launching the game. Have fun and remember, there are a lot of factors that go into picking a weapon. Just make sure to pick the one you have fun using!
