How to Fix Hitman 3 Progression Carryover Not Working

Hitman 3 carryover not working error fix

Sadly, there is no fix for the carryover not working error yet. The problem has something to do with the game’s servers, meaning it’s up to the developers at IO Interactive to fix the problem. Until a solution has been found, you won’t be able to transfer your data and levels from previous games. With any luck, IO will fix the carryover error and get things working again soon.

This problem mainly seems to appear when attempting to log in to IOI accounts. People who try to sign into their accounts will either not be able to or get a message appear saying that the progression carryover has failed. This is particularly troublesome for players who want to import Hitman 1 and 2 levels into Hitman 3.

Thankfully, the developers are keeping an eye on the situation, and everyone who fails this transfer being placed on a list. IO Interactive hasn’t given a specific time on when this error will be fixed, but the team says they’ll have it fixed as soon as possible.

For now, this means that you’ll have to download the previous games separately in order to play them instead of having them all on Hitman 3. You should still be able to play the newer version if you want to have a go at the new maps. Tread carefully, though; it’s unclear whether or not the solution for the carryover problem will wipe any past progress.

Will you be risking your saves to play the new Hitman? Or will you wait until you can finally transfer your data over with the progress carryover? Until you decide, why not kill some time by taking a look at some of our guides? Here are a few of the guides we have for Hitman 3 once you can finally play it:
