How to Bluntslide in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2

Bluntslide

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remake returns us to a simpler time. This remake takes a bunch of the mechanics and locations from 21 years ago. Because of that, there are a ton of awesome tricks to perform! Among these is the Bluntslide, a relatively simple trick. But, as a relic of the past, the game doesn’t tell you how to Bluntslide. Thankfully, that’s what this guide is for.

How to Bluntslide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC

Bluntslides are one of the best ways to get easy points on grind rails. In order to perform a Bluntslide in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, you have to be grinding. After that, to perform the move, follow these instructions:

  • PS4: X, down on the D-pad/Stick twice, Triangle
  • Xbox: A, down on the D-pad/Stick twice, Y
  • PC: Space Bar, S twice, 8
  • Generic: Ollie, down twice, grind

Alternatively, you can;

  • PS4: Circle + Square
  • Xbox: B + X
  • PC: 4 + 6
  • Generic: Grab + Flip

If you change your controls for Grab or Flip, then use the Generic line as a guide.

If you performed the trick correctly, your character will put the rail between the far side of the board and the wheels. After you land, just like all other grinds, you’ll have to balance your character or jump to change the trick.

This remake comes jam-packed with tricks from the entire series. Create-a-skater and create-a-park return, and are likely to be added to as Vicarious Visions updates the game. In addition, the game has added online functionality and kept local split-screen co-op. In other words, a lot of love has been put into this remake, and it’s a worthy addition to any Pro Skater lover’s collection.
