How to Complete the Modern Warfare Expert Gunsmith Challenge | Tips and Tricks
Modern Warfare’s challenges are many and quite varied. From getting equipment kills to various weapon kills, there are easily dozens of skill-based challenges. Many of them seem to leave out important information, though. This leads to tons of players wasting time. Fortunately, we have the answers to completing such challenges. One, in particular, is how to complete the Modern Warfare Expert Gunsmith challenge.

It sounds like a simple enough mission. The Expert Gunsmith challenge requires players to go through several stages, but two in particular seem to be causing the most confusion. These would be the 15 longshots with an AR and ten headshots with an optic phase.
The 15 longshots with an AR is confusing in terms of which barrels to use on which AR. It requires players to use the longest barrel for whichever AR they want to complete the challenge with. Here are the longest ones for a few of the ARs, which should work for completing the challenge.

- KILO 141 – 2nd barrel
- SCAR – 2nd
- FAMAS – 2nd
- M4 – 4th
- ODEN – 1st
The ten headshots with an optic phase also poses some confusion regarding equipment. From the wording, it sounds as though using any sight would work — this isn’t the case. Any sight that offers zoom won’t fulfill the task. Instead, players should opt for the Reflex sight. This specific sight seems to reliably complete this phase of the challenge.
