Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity | How to Save

How to Save

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a wonderful game, and has already been critically lauded. However, it can be hard to navigate the many menus. This can make even the most basic functions of the game difficult… For example, even making a save is hidden away from you. So, if you’ve wanted to put the game down for a bit, you might have run into the menu issue. Don’t worry, our guide on how to save in Hyrule Warriors 2 will help out, just a bit.

How to Save in Hyrule Warriors

If you’ve wanted to save in Hyrule Warriors, you need to find the System menu. This menu is accessed by hitting the “-” button on whatever controller you’re using. This is the opposite of the basic menu, which is accessed with “+”. Once there, saving and loading are the first two options, and you have three save files to play around with.

The “System” menu holds everything involving saving. We already touched on loading, in case you want to play multiple games at once. Tutorials are also hidden in there, as well as a photo gallery and the basic options. So, the System menu is where to go if you want to change volume or whatnot.

It’s a bit of a headache since we already have a dedicated “menu” button on +. That menu is just for equipping your units for battle, but it could easily have included a submenu for all of this stuff. However, the separation can be nice in a few specific circumstances, like if you don’t want to accidentally load the game when hitting +. Just remember to save often, since Hyrule Warriors can be a punishing game in the higher difficulties.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a hack-n-slash RPG title with a focus on decimating huge mobs of enemies as your favorite characters from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Play as the heroes before the calamity struck as they valiantly battle to protect their homes, with a little ally from the future to join you. With eight regions to explore and hundreds of missions to do, this game will keep you hooked for weeks!
