Marmalade Game Studio is nearing the official mobile launch of Jumanji: The Curse Returns, a digital version of the fictional board game that was popularized in the original Jumanji film starring Robin Williams.
The game launched on Steam in September 2021 and a trailer for that version showcases the game’s current gameplay.
Much like the movie’s popular board game, Jumanji: The Curse Returns is a cooperative game for 4 players. The mobile versions will include cross-platform play with the PC version being offered on Steam.
Gamers can offer a private game among friends or join public lobbies where games are created on behalf of participants.
The mobile version of Jumanji: The Curse Returns is expanding on the Steam version, adding brand new power-ups, various new items, and new encounters that the developers say will eventually make their way to the PC version being offered on Steam.
This won’t be the end of the Jumanji mobile game, as a new Winter Lodge map is expected to arrive in time for Winter.
