Mario Golf: Super Rush Rehit | How to Declare Unplayable

Let’s face it, all Mario Golf: Super Rush players have a bad shot every now and then, some worse than others. If you ever find yourself in a sticky situation and wish you could rehit, you’ll be pleased to know that there is a way to declare your hit unplayable and go back to your previous location. However, in most cases, it’ll cause you a one-stroke penalty.

How to Rehit Your Shot in Mario Golf: Super Rush

Next time you find yourself in a bad position in Super Rush, you can rehit your shot my declaring it unplayable. Simply pause the game using your Joycon and use the right bumper to navigate over to the rightmost tab. On the “In Trouble” screen, press A and you’ll be given two options: Forfeit Hole and Declare Unplayable & Rehit. If you choose the first option, you’ll be given a triple par. Alternatively, if you elect for a redo, you’ll rehit your last shot from its original location.

It’s important to note that in most cases you’ll receive a one-stroke penalty to rehit your ball. The only exception is if you hit your shot into a penalty area, then you’ll be able to redo your shot without receiving an extra stroke.

Obviously, you won’t want to declare your hit unplayable too often, because in most cases you’ll receive a penalty stroke. However, there are times when you’ll find yourself with no good shot, and taking an extra stroke will be the least of your concerns.

If you’re really desperate, you can always forfeit the hole and accept the three triple par. The only time this would be beneficial is if you’re already three strokes over par. In this case, you’d actually want to forfeit the hole because it’d keep you from doing too much damage to your score. For example, if you’re on a Par 3 and you’re somehow on stroke 7, forgetting would be to your advantage.

Hopefully you won’t find yourself needing to forfeit a hole or rehit a shot in Mario Golf: Super Rush. But if you ever do, now you know how to declare a shot unplayable!
