Paid XP boosts are no longer being offered by Marvel’s Avengers. As Boss Level Gamer previously reported, paid consumables were added to the game after developer Crystal Dynamics had promised they wouldn’t add pay-to-progress content to the game’s store.

Crystal Dynamics reversed its decision and offered non-cosmetic options which quickly angered gamers.

The company’s initial decision has now been reversed and they even offered an apology for the move.

Marvel’s Avengers plays can no longer purchase Hero Crystals and Fragment Extractors which helped them move through the progress tree at a faster rate than normal.
