Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, not to be confused with 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, showcased its debut trailer today.

Modern Warfare II features the return of Task Force 141, the protagonists of Modern Warfare 2.

Highlighted features for the latest installment of Call of Duty include a “big focus on AI,” new multiplayer modes, movement mechanics in multiplayer, and new vehicle combat. Infinity Ward is developing it.

Another key feature of Modern Warfare II is the unified engine technology for all Call of Duty games. CharlieIntel is reporting this new technology will “ensure Warzone 2 feels like an extension of the Modern Warfare 2 universe.”

Modern Warfare 2 is our favorite Call of Duty ever made, so hopes are pretty high for both Modern Warfare II and the new Warzone. However, one thing that gives us a sour taste is the price tag. The game’s Steam listing indicates that the baseline price is $69.99. CharlieIntel confirms this.

The $99 Vault Edition includes the following:

– Early access to the Open Beta
– Red Team 141 Operator Pack:
— 4 Operators: Ghost, Soap, Farah and Price
– FJX Cinder – First-Ever Weapon Vault
– Battle Pass (1 Season) + 50 Tier Skips

We’ll see the debut of gameplay during the Summer Game Fest tomorrow.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will release on October 28 for PC, macOS, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
