Monster Hunter Rise on PC Includes all Post-Release Content from Switch Version

Monster Hunter Rise, which was originally released on Nintendo Switch back in March, is debuting on PC on January 12. When it arrives, it will include all content from the Switch version, up to game Ver.3.6.1. The announcement was made on the game’s Steam page.

A slew of monsters, including Teostra, Apex Diablos, Apex Rathalos, Apex Zingore, Kushala Daora, and others will be available on release for PC players.

In addition, the main story’s new ending and cross-over costumes from various Capcom franchises (and Sonic, too) will be available.

In addition, the PC version will also include 4K, high-res textures, uncapped framerates, 21:0 ultrawide support, and more features for PC.

One thing that won’t make it to the PC version is a cross-save or cross-play feature. Capcom tweeted in October that the feature won’t be available

When it was released earlier this year on the Nintendo Switch, Monster Hunter Rise was met with critical acclaim. Averaging a 88 on Metacritic, the consensus was that Rise was an accessible and enjoyable entry worthy of the franchise’s legacy.

Monster Hunter Rise, releasing on PC on January 12th, is available on Steam for $59.99. A Deluxe Edition, currently priced at $70.48 (6% off at the time of this post), includes various bonuses that include cosmetics and armor sets. The full list of bonuses are shown below:

  • Main game “Monster Hunter Rise.”
  • “Kamurai” Hunter layered armor set.
  • “Shruiken Collar” Palamute layered armor piece.
  • “Fish Collar” Palico layered armor piece.
  • Gestures (4 Jumps).
  • Samurai pose set.
  • Kabuki face paint.
  • “Izuchi Tail” hairstyle.

The Sunbreak expansion will be available in Summer 2022 on both Switch and PC.
