Morgott, the Omen King has an uncanny similarity to Margit, the Fell Omen. This is true as Morgott shares many of the same moves, just deadlier. However, he also has the same weakness as Margit.

You will receive Morgott’s Great Rune, his Remembrance, and 120000 Runes after the Morgott boss fight.

Morgott the Omen King’s Weakness

If you want to know how to cheese Morgott, you need to look towards the Murkwater Cave in Limgrave. At the end of the cave, you will fight the NPC Patches.

Drop him down to half health and he will surrender. Come back after resting and he will sell you the Margit’s Shackle.

This item has been popularly used to cheese Margit, the Fell Omen and it also works as Morgott, the Omen King’s weakness. You can use it twice in the Morgott boss fight. It will stunlock him in place, giving you ample time to deal damage.

However, if you kill Patches, you can instead take his Bell Bearing and give it to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold. You will be able to buy Margit’s Shackle at that time.

Elden Ring’s Morgott Boss Fight

In addition to the Elden Ring Morgott cheese item, you can also summon Melina to fight with you. She is unexpectedly tanky and keeps Morgott busy for long enough to deal some damage.

Otherwise, you can use Spirit Ashes. Morgott the Omen King is fast, mobile, and deals heavy damage. Hence, a summon like the Banished Knight Oleg will be really helpful as he is tanky and aggressive.

Morgott will typically do the spear or knife throw to close some distance. The knife throw is pretty much the same as Margit. However, the spear throw is a slow one and Morgott takes a couple of seconds to actually throw the spear. Just wait until he starts leaning forward for the throw then roll towards him and attack.

This Elden Ring Morgott boss fight is a fast-paced one. Most of Morgott’s combos are not too tough to deal with, though a couple of them can take you off-guard.

When you attack Morgott from the side, he tends to swipe his tail or make a cycle jump like this:

Morgott will quickly follow up this animation with a slash attack while strafing on you. Just roll forward once and you will be fine.

Morgott also has a double sword combo that can one-shot you if you get caught. He will slash his Cursed Greatsword forward, a seemingly normal attack. However, he will then spawn a sword in his left hand and do an uppercut that takes him mid-air at which point he slams both swords on the ground one by one. Roll back to safety when you see this:

Luckily, Morgott the Omen King isn’t filled with a lot of dangerous combos. He also has an attack where he stands still and spawns several swords that land from above but you can easily run out of the way. Also, you can spam spells safely while he’s in the animation.

Elden Ring Morgott the Omen King Phase 2

When you get Morgott to around half of his health, he will stop and bend down on one knee. Take this time to create some distance because the arena is about to blow up. You just need to pay attention to those specific spots that erupt as the rest of it is normal ground.

Morgott will coat his sword in blood and rush head-on for a grab attack. As he gets close to you, roll towards him and he will miss his attack. He takes a second to recover so make sure to deal some damage. The Elden Ring Morgott boss fight will feel much easier with these combos avoided.

Where to Go After Defeating Morgott the Omen King

Go up to the base of the Erdtree. After that, a Grace should appear near the throne in the arena you just fought in. Talk to Melina and she will tell you about the Mountaintops of the Giants region, where you must find the Flame.

So, now that you are done with the Elden Ring Morgott the Omen King boss fight, take the Avenue Balcony site of grace, go up, and take a left. Keep running all the way till you’re outside the castle gate. Take the stairs up and keep running till you find a huge lift on your left. This will lead you to the new region.
