MultiVersus - Is Gus Fring A Character?

MultiVersus features a roster of popular characters who travel to the battlefield to duke it out. We have famous faces from the DC universe and Looney Tunes cartoons, but we also have some surprising inclusions like Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. While it may seem odd at first, Game of Thrones is actually a distribution by Warner Bros. Television. Her presence in the game makes sense, but now players are wondering who else can be a fighter in MultiVersus. One of these inquiries is curiously Gus Fring from Breaking Bad, played by Giancarlo Esposito. So we looked into it to see if this notorious drug lord will be fighting among the likes of Superman and Bugs Bunny.

Is Gus Fring in MultiVersus?

Is Gus Fring in MultiVersus?

The short answer is no, Gus Fring is not MultiVersus, and he probably won’t be added. Given the fact that Gus is Breaking Bad‘s most iconic villain who deals in methamphetamine, it’s highly unlikely he’ll show up. He’s cruel, vicious, and doesn’t hold back from getting what he needs. And if you’ve seen the show itself with the knowledge of what happens to Gus, the answer starts to become crystal clear.

It’s something you have to consider when placing new fighters on the map. When you have characters we’ve seen in cartoon form, it changes the perspective of what can be done. If Gus were to be a fighter, he’d throw buckets of chicken and meth as part of his projectile arsenal; his taunt would be a tie adjustment; the dialogue would allude to drugs and the cartel, etc. This is a family-friendly brawler after all. However, even though Gus can’t be an official character, there are PC mods out there that can satisfy that need to be the villain.

Warner Media isn’t in charge of distributing Gus Fring into the WB multiverse. Instead, he’s a property of Sony Pictures Television. Warner Bros. and Sony are media giants, with each housing a wide variety of famous names that we’ve seen through the decades. It’s possible that the game will invite characters from other universes, but that’s a whole copyright mission that they’ll have to endure.
