Considering how big the game has become, it is strange to remember that Fortnite only debuted in 2017. The game has grown to massive levels making billions for Epic Games while being played by hundreds of millions of gamers.
The title, which is especially popular among younger players, has been successful for a number of reasons. One of the biggest, though, is the smart partnerships Epic Games has made with other popular companies.
One of these key companies is comic book giant Marvel. So far, the Battle Royale version of Fortnite has featured characters such as Thor, Black Panther, Captain America, Doctor Doom, and the Silver Surfer.

This week, the latest Marvel character has made their way into the game: Nick Fury.
The Director of Shield has long been an important figure in the Marvel movie universe and he comes to Battle Royale with a number of features.
iFireMonkey reveals, “Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. infiltrates Fortnite to help battle the Cubes. Get his Outfit and other S.H.I.E.L.D. Set items – F.I.E.L.D. Pack Back Bling, Director’s Scythe Pickaxe, and more!”
While this is the latest Marvel character to enter the world of Fortnite, it won’t be the last. Back in 2020, Epic’s worldwide Creative Director said of the partnership, “This is just the start of lots of stuff we have planned for many years of Marvel integration. It is not the end, this is the beginning.”
The Nick Fury character is now playable on PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox X/S.
