Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis 4 Star Weapons | How to Get

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis 4 Star Weapons

As you level up in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, you’re going to want to increase your Battle Power in a few ways. Your basic statistics can only do so much for you, and the rarity of your equipment is going to be critical for your endgame. Right now, the highest star rarity for weapons are the 4 Star Weapons. These pieces of gear hit as hard as possible, but they are ridiculously hard to find! You’re going to want to get these once you reach the endgame. This guide will help you find the best weapons in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis at launch.

How to Get 4 Star Weapons in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis 4 Star Weapons

Each weapon type has its own 4 Star Weapons. Most have two weapons that qualify, however, not all of the locations of these weapons are known. You will need to have access to Rank 2 zones and be able to take on Rank 2 enemies before you start farming for these weapons. The damage you deal will be well worth it, though!

Tips for Farming Weapons

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis 4 Star Weapons

The most important first step in farming a 4 Star Weapon in New Genesis is reaching Level 15. This will cause more difficult enemies to have a chance to drop your 4 Star Weapon, as well as having it drop from loot sources. We have not tested yet, but it seems more likely that you will get a weapon for your class than any other class while you are exploring the world. So, make sure you are equipped with a Level 15 version of the class you want to farm up!

Knowing the dungeon that the second weapon is from will be critical. The second 4 Star Weapon is a very slight improvement over the first, but you’ll be more likely to get it if you grind the dungeons. The dungeons include:

  • Mt Magnus: Swords, Knuckles, Twin Machine Guns, Wands
  • Vanford Laboratory Ruins: Partizans, Double Sabers, Launchers, Talises
  • Resol Forest: Wired Lances, Twin Daggers, Assault Rifles, Rods\

As long as you go through the dungeon on Rank 2, you are fairly likely to find the weapon drop from harder enemies. And if not, then you can try again! Unfortunately, there are no ways to consistently craft or purchase the weapons right now; that may come in future updates, alongside the three new classes, new weapons, and better gear.
