Ratchet and Clank Weapon Wheel | How to Assign Weapons

Ratchet and Clank Weapon Wheel

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart features 14 unique weapons that can be collected and used throughout the game. Upon unlocking a weapon, players can assign it to their weapon wheel, a mechanic that makes it easy to swap out one weapon in your loadout to another without needing to cycle through the whole lot. Filling the entirety of the wheel will also earn you the “Full Rack” silver trophy and requires eight weapons to do so. If you’re a perfectionist looking to complete the title, you’re going to need to know how to assign weapons.

How to Assign Weapons to the Weapon Wheel in Rift Apart

Holding down the triangle button on the PS5 controller will make the weapon wheel appear. There will be eight blank spots. Hold the right stick toward the gun you want to equip, then press the directional input you would like to assign it to. Of course, there are more than eight weapons in the game, so you’ll have to know how to assign weapons to the wheel itself too.

To swap out a gun from your weapon wheel, begin by using the touchpad to open the game menu. Along the top of the screen, you should see six menu tabs, the fourth of which is “Weapons.” Use R1 to scroll over to this and access your full weapons list. You should see your list of weapons on the left and your weapon wheel on the right. Scroll down the list to whichever weapon you would like to swap into your weapon wheel and make sure it’s highlighted. Now, click the X button to equip it, and hold the right stick in whichever direction you would like to have it equipped to.

Switching between weapons can be done using the directional pad, and you can have four “active” weapons at any given time. Swapping weapons is as easy as pressing the respective directional input that corresponds to the weapon you want to use. Of course, there are more than just four weapons in the game, so you can’t have all the weapons active at once, thus you need to use the weapon wheel.
