Fortnite and Epic Games have you covered for the latest day of fandom, May the 4th—Star Wars Day! Beginning today, May 3rd, until May 17th, Epic Games are un-vaulting Star Wars items from past seasons.
My favorite “unconventional” weapon in Fortnite has always been the lightsabers, and I can’t wait to wreak havoc on the island again. Luke Skywalker’s green lightsaber, Kylo Ren’s red lightsaber, Obi-Wan’s blue lightsaber, and Mace Windu’s purple lightsaber will be available in the game for the next two weeks.
There is more to look forward to, as Fortnite is bringing back the E-11 Blaster Rifle for a limited time. Players can track down Imperial Storm Troopers on the island in Fortnite’s Battle Royale, and Zero Build modes. Exchange gold bars for a blaster, and get pew-pewing! They can also be found on the ground or in chests if you aren’t looking to spend your bars.
Of course, what would a Fortnite Star Wars Day event be without new quests? Epic Games wants players to undergo “Stormtrooper training” in the new Star Wars Quests. Here you will “confiscate a “landspeeder” (a.k.a. a vehicle), confiscate and use “Jedi contraband” (a.k.a. a lightsaber), and more. Each May the 4th Quest rewards XP, and for completing five, you’ll earn an Empire Banner.”
Players who haven’t had the chance to shop for their favorite Star Wars Fortnite skins in the past will be able to catch up during this period, as some popular Star Wars skins are back in the shop starting today!
