Super Mario RPG players can access many secret rooms holding special items for Mario and his friends. While traversing the underground area of the Belome Temple, its possible to discover a unique treasure room containing various objects. These include multiple Frog Coins, a Max Mushroom, the Fire Bomb, and more, though a statued Belome is blocking the entryway. Therefore, players must find the Belome Temple Key to enter the treasure-filled room.
The Belome Temple Key is what the sculptured Belome requires, and the item isn’t very far from the underground location. However, navigating through certain parts of the Belome Temple can be tricky. It’s imperative to remember the rooms where a Shaman resides and where the bronze Belome stands. But first, players must travel to another part of Mario’s world to obtain the key.
How to Get the Belome Temple Key
Super Mario RPG players can locate the Belome Temple Key by entering Monstro Town, which is accessible after successfully progressing through Land’s End and Belome Temple. To obtain the key, which is sitting on top of a ledge, speak with the Thwomp in the second house on the Monstro Town cliffside. Exhaust his dialogue until he says, “Don’t you dig these vibes?” Doing so will cause him to stomp, generating rumbles to knock the key in question off the ledge outdoors. Do this about eight times to ensure that the key successfully falls outside. How to Enter the Belome Temple Treasure Room
Once players acquire the Belome Temple Key, they must return to the temple and locate the hidden treasure room. The key is given to the golden Belome sculpture blocking the entryway. To find this room, players must identify the area with the fortune-telling statue that produces scrolls accompanied by a Shaman. Here, interact with the statue to acquire a scroll. Mario and the party must get the “Sorry, I’m not accepting visitors past my bedtime” scroll to gain access to the treasure room. Upon obtaining the necessary scroll, use the yellow platform to enter the treasure room.

For an easy route back to the Belome Temple, utilize the initial trampoline in Monstro Town to re-enter the temple. From there, navigating through the sub-area will be relatively easy until you reach the Shaman and fortune-telling statue. As you return to the Belome Temple, head bottom-left to enter another room with a trampoline. Next, travel top-left to find the yellow platform.
Other scrolls will unveil other rooms in the temple. If players receive a scroll different from the one mentioned above, exit the room and promptly return. Interact with the statue again until you receive the required scroll. Repeat these steps if necessary.
After using the platform to access the treasure room, speak with the Belome effigy. They will then consume the Belome Temple Key, thus providing you access to the room’s entirety. From there, collect all of the items in the room. The rewards for your efforts will include eight Frog Coins, four Flowers, Fire Bomb, Max Mushroom, and Royal Syrup.
From there, players can move from the Belome Temple treasure room to continue their quests in Super Mario RPG. There are still items to obtain elsewhere in the temple, so look through the entire sub-area for hidden treasures.
