A new update for Tekken 7 is live; The Tekken 7 Patch Notes include balance changes and stability updates. The update is for the game’s PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam versions.

Bandai Namco has improved stability for all three platforms on the performance front. The Tekken 7 patch notes indicate that “some system-related bugs have been fixed.” It doesn’t go into further detail than that. Additional network information is now displayed for players. Indicators for “Delay Frames,” “Rollback Frames,” and “Ping/RTT” have been added.

The game’s roster has seen a slew of balance changes with the newest Tekken 7 patch. In total, 51 characters have seen updates. The full list is available here. Bandai Namco strived to “close the gap between each character’s strength.”

In addition, new features are included as well. “Wall crush inducing hits” and “wall crush inducing guards” are now part of the game. These create further gamesmanship while players are alongside a wall.

This is likely to be the last update for Tekken 7; a successor was teased earlier this month at EVO 2022.

While some are excited about the future, don’t forget to celebrate the franchise’s past. We thought that Tekken 3 is one of the best PS1 games of all time.

Tekken 7 was originally released on February 18th, 2015. The new Tekken 7 Patch for Update Ver. 5.00 goes live on August 17th, 2022.
