The Callisto Protocol Assault Rifle - How to Get

Jacob Lee will need access to various weapons if he’s going to escape prison in The Callisto Protocol. The risks are dangerously high, for he’ll be fighting against vicious space creatures. Aside from the stun baton, tactical pistol, and riot gun, Jacob might come across the schematics for the assault rifle. It’s easy to miss, but if you keep your eyes peeled, you’ll find it later in the game. Here’s what you need to know.

How to Get the Assault Rifle in The Callisto Protocol

You can obtain the assault rifle by collecting its schematics from the bathroom at the top of the tower in Chapter 7 for the mining colony. Specifically, ascend the tower to find a general store and a security room with flashing red lights. The schematics will be against the mirrors in the bathroom next to an energy converter. It’ll be a part of the mission where you have to get a key card for the elevator.

Navigating the top of the tower will be kind of a challenge, as is with many encounters in the game. Creatures will be lurking around, especially when it comes to checking out the facilities in the area. Be sure to utilize crouching when you can to avoid any unwanted surprises.

After retrieving the schematics, unlock it at a Reforge station to view its stats and potential hardware advancements. It’s marked as a UJC Special Ops “Assault Rifle”, providing a three-round burst of fire while maintaining careful stability. Keep in mind that printing the weapon will cost you 1,000 credits, so seek out as much currency as you can.

We recommend checking out the firearm when possible; it’s ideal for taking out enemies from a distance and deadlier foes when Jacob finds himself in a pickle. Coupled with its automatic firepower, quick successions of executions become more open, as well as quick reliances on evading damage. Even though you’ll grab this weapon later on in the game, it’s a decent offensive tool that can complement melee attacks when the enemies invade in size.
