Everybody is talking about The Last of Us, for its new HBO show among other obvious reasons. However, the series is about to make another memorable release. Coming out later in March, the first part of the game will be made available on PC and people can now place preorders. Both the Firefly and Digital Deluxe Editions are part of the offer, with the former costing an impressive 100 dollars. Though, no matter which one you get, you’ll be in for a richer, more HD, and more decked-out experience of one of the most iconic games released in the last 20 years.
The Last of Us: Part I Firefly and Digital Deluxe Preorder
When The Last of Us came out in 2013, Naughty Dog had no idea its risk would pay off so well. Over 10 years later, the first game is now called Part I and is scheduled to drop on March 28th. For those who can’t wait, preorders are now open for two enhanced versions of the game.
As expected, both the Firefly and Digital Deluxe Editions come with a lot of extra content. The former, for the price of 100 dollars, includes upgraded survival mechanics, special weapons, the DLC Left Behind, a steel book display case, and a four-part comic. The latter, for only 60 dollars, comes with the same bonuses except for the comic and display case.
It’s getting harder and harder to find people who don’t know the general story of The Last of Us. In the early 20th century, an aggressive strain of cordyceps fungus takes over human hosts, turning them into cannibalistic monsters. 20 years later, an outbreak survivor named Joel lives as a smuggler in Quarantine Zone. He meets Ellie, a teenage girl who is seemingly immune to the fungus. He is tasked with delivering her to a radical group known as the Fireflies in hopes of discovering a cure. It’s a dangerous and emotional journey that no one is prepared to take.
Finally breaking its PlayStation exclusivity, The Last of Us: Part I is looking to arrive on PC next month. Those who want a strong head start and some extra goodies can preorder the Firefly or Digital Deluxe Editions.
