Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline is set to become a free-to-play FPS and fans who were excited about the game’s announcement last week are going to be waiting a little while longer than expected to play the Closed Test.

On Wednesday morning the game’s official Twitter account announced a delay for the game’s release.

The announcement reads:

“We have decided it is best to postpone the Closed Test for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline. The development team is dedicated to creating the best experience possible. We’ll share details on the new date for the Closed Test as soon as we can. Thank you for your ongoing support.”

As you can see below, no reason was given for the delay.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline will allow for 102-player battles while adding in objective-based missions to complete.

The game has been under development for three years now and is set for release on a bunch of devices including PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.

We’ll keep everyone posted on a Closed Test release date when it becomes available.
