Warzone 2 Crossplay - Is There Cross-Platform Support?

Winning a Warzone 2 match by yourself is satisfying, but it’s not nearly as much fun as winning one with a squad full of your friends. After all, playing battle royale games with friends is way more fun than grinding them alone. And, with Warzone 2 introducing new game modes such as third-person battle royale trios and the new DMZ extract-style game mode, many gamers are eager to share their first impressions alongside their pals. As a result, many players are wondering if the game supports crossplay. Well, read on for some outstanding news.

Is There Crossplay in Warzone 2?

Is There Crossplay in Warzone 2?

Warzone 2 supports crossplay between all platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. So, regardless of what setup your friends are gaming on, you can all play together. As it’s been that way in Call of Duty for some time, and remains the case in Warzone 2 for every game mode.

While crossplay is readily enabled in Warzone 2, there is a chance you may have turned it off if you’re on Xbox or PlayStation. To enable crossplay, go to “Settings” and then “Account and Network.” There will be a crossplay tab here, that if you enable will allow PC and console crossplay. Turning it off will still allow cross-platform play with Xbox and PlayStation, as that’s inevitable; just not between PC and console.

Once that’s enabled, you’ll still have to invite your friends to your lobby. To do that, you need their Activision ID. This is their gamertag and the associating number that every player gets when they first log into the game. To find your Activision ID, while in the Warzone 2 lobby, simply head to “Settings” then find your way to “Account and Network” and look for the box that says Activision ID. Click on “Show ID” and it will reveal your name and number.

To add your friends, navigate to the “Social Tab” from the lobby. Shuffle over to the “Friends” tab and select “Add Friend.” In the on-screen text box that pops up, simply type in their full Activision ID, including the numeric sign (#) present before the numbers. Once you’ve added your friend and they’ve accepted, you can easily join each other’s session and play together.
