Furry Sonic Controllers for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie Unveiled by Xbox

Sonic the Hedgehog Furry Controllers

File these under things you didn’t know you needed, and maybe you don’t even want: furry Sonic controllers.

In partnership with the upcoming movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from Paramount Pictures, Xbox is giving away a limited-time-only Xbox Series S bundle inspired by the film. The Xbox will feature a golden portal ring glittering on its surface near the top. Below the ring is an embossed Sonic the Hedgehog 2 logo featuring Sonic and Knuckles, ready to battle it out.

The most distinct feature in the package is the two Sonic controllers. If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like playing a game using a controller that is “reminiscent of the ‘bristly’ texture of hedgehogs in the wild,” then you could win two fuzzy controllers that come in Sonic Blue and Knuckles Red to hold and play. No word if the furry facets can be removed from the controllers.

Currently, there is no word on whether or not the controllers or console will be available for purchase. If you’re interested, try your luck out and enter the sweepstakes.

To win, you can enter in two ways. First, you can retweet this tweet from the official Xbox account and use the hashtag #XboxSonic2Sweepstakes. Second, fans in the United States can redeem Microsoft Reward Points for raffle entries. You must be a legal resident in a territory that supports Xbox Live. Submissions for the sweepstakes end at 11 PM EDT on Wednesday, April 30.

It’s no surprise that a sequel was greenlit after the first film’s success. Thankfully, the sequel continues using the much sleeker design of Sonic after the initial design received backlash for not capturing the essence of Sonic. You can catch Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 when it hits theaters on April 8th.
