1047 Games Secures $6.5 Million and Plans ‘Splitgate: Arena Warware’ Expansion

1047 Games has received a new round of funding valued at $6.5 million. The company, which has now raised more than $10 million will use the new round to expand its multiplayer shooter, Splitgate: Arena Warfare.

The PVP shooter launched on PC in 2019 as a free-to-play title. The company has since raised more than $10 million in funding.

Following news of the funding, led by Galaxy Interactive with support from Lakestar, 1Up ventures, and VGames, the company says it will expand on the PVP’s development while attempting to attract new users.

“We’re uniquely positioned among online shooters to grow and expand both our current game and its loyal fan base to more gamers around the globe,” 1047 founder and CEO, Ian Proulx, revealed in a press release. “With the latest round of funding we’re excited to amplify its current state to new heights of success.”

1047 Games has promised some big news and developments starting in June 2021. Stay tuned.
