343 Industries Gives an Update on Halo Infinite Progression

343 Industries Gives an Upate on Halo Infinite Progression

John Junyszek, Community Manager for 343 Industries, has given an update regarding XP gains for Halo Infinite progression.

After stating that they feel our pains regarding issues with the game’s battle pass, the first steps to remedying problems and concerns for Halo Infinite progression have been announced.

The studio said that players were starting their sessions with slower XP gains than they’d prefer. As a result, they’ve increased payout for the first games of the day. Rewards start as high as 300 XP for the first match. By the time you reach your seventh match of the day, it’s back down to the original 50 XP per game.

As it was pointed out in a Reddit thread for the news, this appears to stack with Double XP. It’s time to live off of Pringles and Rockstar Energy drinks!

Logging into the game, I can confirm that the Halo Infinite progression update is indeed live.

Regarding future updates, Junyszek had this to say:

“We know many of you want even larger changes and we’re committed to doing so, but those will take time. We made this update based on data and player feedback, and we’ll monitor its impact after we push it live [tomorrow morning]. As always, keep sharing your feedback!”
