Nintendo announced this morning that a Nintendo Direct is coming on February 9th at 2:00 PM PST. The 40-minute live stream will focus on games that launch in the first half of 2022.
We can expect information regarding Kirby and the Forgotten Land, launching on March 25th. Don’t be surprised to see some information regarding Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. The re-release of the beloved strategy franchise is set to launch on April 8th.
What else might we see from this Nintendo Direct? Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and Breath of the Wild 2 have planned 2022 releases. Realistically, the only ones I’d expect would be Splatoon 3 and Sparks of Hope. MLB The Show 22 will most likely make an appearance regarding third-party selections. It was just announced that it would release on Nintendo Switch on April 5th.
Edit: We somehow forgot about Triangle Strategy! That should 100% be releasing in the first half of 2022.
According to this 4-Chan thread (yes, I know) that corrected predicted the announcement’s timeframe, we’ll see some information regarding a new Fire Emblem and Xenoblade 3.
The question on everyone’s mind with every Nintendo Direct is whether or not we’ll finally see information on Hollow Knight: Silksong. Honestly, I’ll believe it when I see it.
The same can be said for a personal favorite of both mine and my wife, Sports Story.
