All Mutare Magnus Puzzle Solutions in Honkai Star Rail

The Mutare Magnus puzzles in Honkai Star Rail are some of the more complicated puzzles at face value. However, once you get the hang of things, it gets infinitely easier since it all depends on pattern recognition and replication. Don’t worry if you find yourself stuck or are point-blank lazy to bother figuring it out, as we’ve got you covered!

Mutare Magnus Puzzle Location

First, you must have unlocked the Xianzhou Luofu planet and finished the Omniscient Inquiry of Arcana main questline. Once that’s done, make your way to the Divination Commission and talk to Huixing, a little girl who works there. She’ll take you to the puzzles for you to complete. The nearest Space Anchor would be the Conclave Hall Space Anchor.

In total, there are three puzzles for each day. After you’ve completed each puzzle, be sure to interact with Huixing to trigger the next one and get your rewards.

 

How To Solve the Mutare Magnus Puzzles

Once you trigger a puzzle, you must replicate the design shown with the different nodes scattered around you. You can pick up a node, walk over to another one and swap it out. Either that or place the node in an empty spot. Things can get trickier as you move along due to the intricacies of the designs.

Another thing is too many misplaced nodes will result in a mess that is trickier to solve. Be sure to reset the puzzle once you find yourself too confused. The puzzles take patience and precision to complete but will reward you handsomely once it’s done.

 

Mutare Magnus Puzzle Solutions Day 1

Puzzle 1

This one’s the easiest one, essentially a tutorial on how the puzzles work. Here’s how to solve this cross-patterned puzzle:

1. Move the 7th node to 1.
2. Move the 5th node to 6.

 

Puzzle 2

This time it’s a zig-zag motion, a tiny bit harder than the previous one, to solve it:

1. Switch the 3rd node with the 2nd node.
2. Switch the 2nd node that you’re holding to the 5th node.
3. Lastly, switch the 5th node back to the 3rd node.

 

Puzzle 3

Another super easy one that may look tricky, solve it by:

1. Move the 7th node to 2.
2. Move the 5th node to 1.

 

Mutare Magnus Puzzle Solutions Day 2

Return to Huixing at the Divination Commission the next day to unlock the second round of Mutare Magnus puzzles.

Puzzle 1

This time it features a triple triangle formation. Here’s how to solve it:

1. Switch the 2nd node with the 8th node.
2. Bring the 8th node to 6.
3. Switch the 1st node with the 3rd node.
4. Bring the 3rd node to 5.

 

Puzzle 2

Puzzle 2 features what looks like a goldfish pattern. You can solve it by:

1. Move the 3rd node to the 5th spot.
2. Exchange the 7th and 6th nodes.
3. Exchange the 6th and 1st nodes.
4. Move the 1st node to the 4th spot.

 

Puzzle 3

This is the last puzzle of the day with triple triangles with spaces in between. Here’s how to solve this one:

1. Move the 8th node to 5.
2. Move the 3rd node to 6.
3. Switch the 7th node with the 4th node.
4. Then bring the 4th node to 7.

 

Mutare Magnus Puzzle Solutions Day 3

Puzzle 1

Here’s the last day of the Mutare Magnus puzzles! After completing Day 3, the quest will end. To solve this puzzle with two triangles to the left, simply:

1. Move the 8th node to 6.
2. Move the 3rd node to 5.
3. Switch the 1st node with the 7th node.
4. Bring the newly attained 7th node back to the 1st node.

 

Puzzle 2

This four-triangle puzzle may look complicated, but it can easily be solved. You can solve the second last puzzle of the day by simply:

1. Switch the 3rd and 6th nodes.
2. Bring the 6th node and place it at 4.
3. Switch the 2nd and 5th nodes.
4. Then bring the 5th node and put it at 7.

 

Puzzle 3

This is the last Mutare Magnus puzzle you’ll encounter for now. Who knows, miHoYo might entice us with more in the future. To solve this star-shaped puzzle, all you have to do is:

1. Move the 7th node to 2.
2. Swap the 3rd node with the 6th node.
3. Bring the 6th node and swap it with the 5th node.
4. Take the 5th node and place it at 1.
