Black Desert Online Season Servers Will Offer Players a Fresh Start

Black Desert Online Season Servers

Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games have launched a new Season Server for Black Desert Online, as part of a new concept of servers that will allow players to start the game with a newly created character. This first Season Server will be available from June 17 – September 2.

Season Servers will be a brand new way for players to enjoy Black Desert Online and will allow players to get a new chance at life within the game by starting with a new character in an unblemished world.

June 17 marks the launch of the first Season Server, also known as the Summer Season, which has several interesting features, such as an increase in the experience points that players get from their in-game activities. Further, PvP has been removed from this server, limiting it to only the Guild wars. Nevertheless, according to the game’s website, the PvP mode will be fully available in a new server launching a month from now for everyone to play.

The first Black Desert Online Season Server will close on September 2, and all characters created on this server will then become normal characters, which will allow them to join any of the regular servers. Unfortunately, already existing characters won’t be able to join the new Season Servers.

To celebrate the launch of the Black Desert Online Season Servers, there is a new “Caption This!” contest running through the end of the month where players from North America and Europe can share screenshots on social media taken from the Season Server animation. To participate, players must add a creative caption to their screenshot and upload it to the game’s official social media accounts for a chance at some in-game prizes. All the information for how to enter this contest, as well as details on how to upload a screenshot and the rules can be found on the game’s official website.

If you’re interested in checking out the new Season Server experience, you can join in now and get started with a new character. Further, players who don’t own a copy of the game can sign up for a 7-day trial period for free.
