Unkempt Harold

To get the Unkempt Harold legendary in Borderlands 3, you have to farm it from an enemy called Caber Dowd, which you can find in Bloodsun Canyon. The specific location is highlighted in the image below: Head to the location marked by the red circle in Bloodsun Canyon.

After arriving at the spot marked in our image, you’re going to see some green crystals. Once you reach a certain point in the game, you’ll be able to break these open with a melee attack. After you break them, you’re going to want to head through the now-open entrance and find the enemy called Caber Dowd in the area past the entrance.

It’s worth noting that the Unkempt Harold is not guaranteed to drop every time you kill Caber Dowd, so you are going to need to keep farming until the gun finally drops. If you’re a visual learner, we recommend checking out Joltzdude139‘s video on the subject as he goes really in depth on how to find the Unkempt Harold legendary. You can find his video guide for the weapon below.

Is the work worth it? For you to decide, we’ll briefly go over everything about the stats and the Unkempt Harold legendary gun in general. To start, Unkempt Harold is a carryover pistol from the second game that at first only came in the explosive element. But now, in Borderlands 3, the legendary gun can be found in all elements. Unkempt Harold is also apart of the Torgue manufacture category of weapons.

The gun offers high damage per shot and good critical damage, but tends to burn through ammo fast. This legendary weapon also has splash damage, so it would be unwise to use it in close ranges. In addition, when the player uses the gun, it fires three bullets that later split into several projectiles once they reach a certain distance.

Armed with this information, hopefully you will have no trouble getting your hands on a legendary Unkempt Harold. But before you embark on your quest, we recommend checking out some of our other guides for Borderlands 3.
