Bravely Default 2 Holistic Medicine Not Working | How to Fix

Holistic Medicine

There is a ton of customization for characters in Bravely Default 2. Every build can have a myriad of specializations that change how the game works. Because of that, some of these specializations can become… A little bit strange in style. One of these customizations, Holistic Medicine, seems to be a bit broken right now. So, if you have a bug with Holistic Medicine, how do you fix it?

How to Fix Holistic Medicine Bug in Bravely Default 2

Holistic Medicine

As it turns out, Holistic Medicine has no bugs currently, but was worded poorly. If the skill is not working for you, it might be because you are not using a single-target spell. If the spell has the ability to target multiple party members at all, like Cure, then it doesn’t work. The spell has to be single-target exclusive, like Basuna or Raise.

This effect does not work on any buff spells, like Protect or Shell. That would be stepping on Bard’s toes just a bit! If you want to do Area of Effect buffs, then you’ll want to pick up a Bard. Protect and Shell are better to just plop on your tank and let them soak damage.

Does this mean Holistic Medicine is worthless? Absolutely not! This allows for the White Mage to gain Basuna, Raise, and Arise to target an entire party. For a single action, you can essentially get four actions… Which is insane, if you want to spec your party for damage more than immunities.

Once you get to multiclassing, you can start really working through some good spells! This allows you to use Ghostmagic on the entire party with one action, if you get to that point. Discovering other healing combos will be a big part of maximizing healing builds… It’s just that WHM doesn’t use it perfectly by itself. Still, a specialty to look into if you want to turn your healer into an absolute beast.
