Certain Affinity followed up the announcement with a link to current job openings, which range from artists, designers, programmers, and more.

Founded by former Bungie employee Max Hoberman, Certain Affinity’s credits include several entries in the Halo franchise. This ranges from Halo 2’s Blastacular Map Pack and the Halo: Reach’s Defiant Map Pack. They also co-developed Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 4, The Master Chief Collection, and Infinite alongside 343. The Halo franchise is already well ingrained into the company’s DNA, particularly when it comes to multiplayer. Their extensive knowledge of multiplayer maps and weapons will hopefully revitalize the health of the game’s population.

Other credits include work on various Call of Duty titles, Left 4 Dead, and 2016’s DOOM.

Hoberman was formerly a multiplayer, online, and US design lead for Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Despite the recent news on Halo Infinite Season 2, it’s been a slow trickle of updates for the game. Hopefully, the new role from Certain Affinity will help bring about more content that meets the initial impressions and possibilities we felt in our review of Halo: Infinite and its multiplayer.
