Cyberpunk 2077 Stuck in Scanning Mode Bug | How to Fix

Cyberpunk 2077 Stuck in Scanning Mode

Cyberpunk 2077 has finally arrived and it looks like there are a few bugs to accompany you as you head into Night City. Specifically, some are experiencing the stuck in scanning mode bug and are unable to return to normal gameplay. Luckily, there is a quick and easy fix to get out of scanning mode and back into Night City.

How to Fix the Stuck in Scanning Mode Bug

To fix the stuck in scanning mode bug on PC, you simply need to press the Caps Lock button on your keyboard to toggle out of scanning mode. Alternatively, if that doesn’t work you’ll need to restart your game and reload from a recent save. So, if you’re afraid of encountering the bug, be sure to save often! So far it looks like this bug is only on PC.

It’s not uncommon for games to launch with bugs, especially when they’re a massive size like Cyberpunk 2077. Thankfully, bugs usually get patched fast. So, in all likelihood, the stuck in scanning mode issue will be fixed in the next couple of patches. But for now, you’ll have to use the solution mentioned above.

Hacking is a pretty essential part of Cyberpunk 2077, so it likely won’t take you long to come across the stuck in scanning mode glitch. While hacking, you’ll need to use the scanner to gain information about the area and take advantage of the technology around you. Unfortunately, there doesn’t really seem to be a way to avoid the bug in the first place so you’ll just have to power through until the developers are able to offer a fix.

Unfortunately, it looks like this isn’t the only bug you’ll experience as you start your journey into Night City. Although, it’s not totally surprising due to the massive size of the game. Luckily, we live in the day of patches, so hopefully developers can fix the issues in no time.
