Doom Eternal update 6.66 is arriving next week and it will include the new horde mode. The update will also include two brand new masters levels and Battlemode 2.0.
Horde Mode, as the name suggests, will have players wiping out large hordes of monsters rather than focusing on the game’s typical linear gameplay.
The game’s devs shared a glimpse into Horde Mode which looks like a blast to play.
Horde mode includes three missions with three arenas for each mission. Moving between levels requires completing the levels in order.
As an added bonus, extra rounds can be unlocked if special targets are taken out during gameplay.
Doom Eternal’s 6.66 update also includes an updated battlemode. Version 2.0 offers gamers a new arena and reportedly works out some kinks with Doom Eternal’s asymmetrical PvP matches.
With two new master levels added, players will also have the opportunity to go back and play tougher versions of previous levels.
It’s a really nice block of updates for Doom Eternal that should add hours of new and improved gameplay.
