Fire Emblem Engage Second Seals - How to Get

Fire Emblem Engage is host to many different strategies used to save the realm of Elyos. Depending on how your units grow and how your party composition looks, you will want to have full control of what they can or cannot use. Second Seals in Fire Emblem Engage are used to change the base class of a character. However, these rare materials can be hard to find! If you’re wondering where you can gather these items, or what they’re used for, we can help you out!

How to Get Second Seals in Fire Emblem Engage

The best place to find Second Seals in Fire Emblem Engage is through the item shop. The item shop restocks with Master and Second Seals around Chapter 10, 13, and 17, and will sell you an infinite number of Seals after Chapter 17. Additionally, you can find Second Seals in certain maps, within treasure chests and on enemies as loot. The Eirika Paralogue and Chapter 18 both have a free Second Seal that you can get out of a treasure chest.

Most of your Second Seals will come from the Item Shop. They can be purchased for 2,500 each. They become infinite eventually, so make sure you have money for them before spending recklessly! You may want to have a plan in mind, since they are sold 3-5 at a time.

To use a Second Seal that you have, go to Inventory and select the character you want. After that, click “Change Classes.” You will be able to see every class that the unit is allowed to promote or class change into.

Second Seals can be difficult to use effectively. First, you’ll want to make sure that your unit has the right Weapon Proficiency for the class. For instance, if you want your Archer to become an Axe Fighter, they’ll need Axe proficiency.

We recommend using Second Seals sparingly, and only if your character growths allow it. For example, if Alfred is having trouble surviving combats due to bad Speed growths, a Second Seal into Lance Armor might help. But, you will be losing his impressive mobility. We also recommend waiting until you use a Master Seal before using a Second one. Second Seals reduce your level back to one, distancing yourself from your next Promotion. But, if you use one after you use a Master Seal, you’ll be able to be a level 1 Advanced class!
