Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has announced that Forza Horizon 5 has become the biggest launch day title in the history of Xbox Game Studios.
With stellar reviews that included some perfect scores from the likes of IGN, the game was propelled toward a record-breaking 4.5 million players on day one. The game launched simultaneously across Xbox, Windows, and Cloud gaming platforms.
To put that number into perspective, it’s about three times more players than its predecessor.
From a surprisingly great prologue to killer graphics and smooth gameplay, we’re not really surprised that the game has performed so well out of the gate.
You can pick up Forza Horizon 5 right now on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, through the Microsoft Store, and on Steam, making it widely available to a massive number of gamers.
Xbox Game Studios has proven it’s devoted to bringing its games to the largest number of gamers possible on launch day and with Halo Infinite just around the corner, this record may not last for long.
