GoldenEye 007 Is Coming to Switch and Xbox January 27th

The wait is almost over for one of the greatest video games of all time. Finally, a new generation will experience GoldenEye 007 on Xbox and Nintendo Switch starting January 27th.

Announced during a Nintendo Direct in September, the beloved Nintendo 64 game is finally making its way to modern consoles. The Xbox version will feature a 4k resolution remaster, improved framerate, and split-screen local multiplayer. It will be available on Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, owners of Rare Replay can download GoldenEye 007 at no cost.

As for the Nintendo Switch version, it’s the only place where you can jump into online multiplayer. The Switch version will have a simultaneous release for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members alongside the Xbox version of the game.

Regarded as one of the greatest first-person shooters ever made, GoldenEye 007 helped set the standard for the genre on consoles. The game also helped developer Rare become a household name. Rumors of a remake and remaster have been persistent for years. Those rumors were finally confirmed last year.

Now, the wait is over. We can play GoldenEye 007 once more.
