Grounded Dew Collector | How to Get

grounded dew collector

When playing Grounded for the first time, you’ll quickly realize that you need water to survive. However, water can often be tricky to obtain: There are not many methods of collecting it, and most are tedious at best. Early in the game, you’ll have to hit grass stalks in a vain attempt to gain one measly droplet of water. Luckily, there’s a better way to get water, and it involves the dew collector. Here’s how to get a dew collector in Grounded, including which crafting components you’ll need to make your own.

How to Get a Dew Collector in Grounded

Grounded dew collector

To get a dew collector in Grounded, you’ll first need to find some quartzite. This stuff is located underground, meaning you’ll have to head into a cave. Before you start spelunking, make sure to pack a hammer, as you’ll need one to mine the quartzite. You’ll also need to find a few other resources to craft a dew collector, all of which we’ve listed below.

  • Spider Silk x 5
  • Weed Stems x 6
  • Woven Fiber x 5
  • Quartzite x 8

You can get Spider Silk from, well… spiders, but be warned as this task is pretty challenging. We suggest fighting from range with a bow, as they are tough in close combat. You can get Weed Stems from dandelions, and Woven Fiber it is crafted from grass fibers.

After you’ve collected all these components, you’ll be able to craft a dew collector. Once crafted, it should be left outside so that it can collect water over time. You can also use the dew collector to fill your canteen, allowing you to hydrate on-the-go.
