GTA 5 Sticky Bombs - How to Detonate

The fictional and satirical take on America in GTA 5 is filled with high-powered weapons. But, that’s no surprise. It just wouldn’t be the same if you couldn’t blow stuff up. One of the best things to blow stuff up with in-game is Sticky Bombs. Problem is, the usual button you use to shoot only throws the bomb. How are you supposed to blow it up? For that, you need to know which button will cause the bomb to detonate.

Sticky Bombs are high-powered explosives that can be bought at any Ammu-nation in GTAV, whether online or offline. There are multiple ways to use them, for one, you can place them on anything. Or, if you have good aim, you can throw them too. They’ll stick to any surface that isn’t organic. All you have to do is blow them up.

These are the buttons and keys used to blow up Sticky Bombs on different platforms:

  • Xbox: D-Pad Left
  • PlayStation: D-Pad Left
  • PC: G Key

What else can you use Sticky Bombs for? Well, there’s plenty you can do with them. They’re perfect for car chases. If you find an enemy behind you, just toss one onto the road, and if you have good timing, you can explode the Sticky Bomb right underneath their car. You can also use them as a trap. Placing them on corners, or on your vehicle before driving into a group of enemies, just after diving out of it for your own safety.

If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like to leave a trace, putting it on the wings of a plane, and blowing the plane up during your escape can be a crazy way to make sure nobody finds your getaway vehicle. Granted, you may have to pay a pretty penny to get the vehicle back. Luckily there are plenty of ways to earn money while playing GTA Online solo.
